Since the very early days of Consequence, we’ve put the metaphorical spotlight on rising artists deserving your attention with our CoSigns profiles. Now, we’re putting a literal spotlight on them with our new live event series, CoSigns Sessions — a special benefit showcase where music and mental health take center stage. Get tickets via Tixr.
A pair of local favorites, former CoSigns THICK and post-punk art-rockers BODEGA, will headline the inaugural CoSigns Session on February 21st at the Sound Mind Center in Brooklyn. Each band will deliver an intimate performance in the welcoming DUMBO space, but before they play, they’ll participate in fireside chats about mental health and wellness — continuing Sound Mind Live’s mission of breaking down barriers around mental health conversations through the power of music. (It doesn’t hurt that THICK’s Nikki Sisti is a therapist!)
Created in partnership with nonprofit Sound Mind (co-presenters of Consequence Podcast Network’s Going There with Dr. Mike), the event will serve as a benefit for the Sound Mind Center, with 100% of net proceeds supporting their work in creating a community space where music meets wellness. Entry is available via a $30 donation ($35 at the door) — use code COSLIVE for $5 off in advance via Tixr. VIP admission, with preferred seating, private lounge area, swag bag, and more, is available for a $60 donation.
