Fans of Duck Dynasty recently saw the Robertson family endure the tragic loss of patriarch Phil Robertson. Since then, audiences have also grown concerned for Miss Kay Robertson following a severe fall. Recently, fans were given an update concerning the family matriarch, amid the series’ recent revival.
It Was Previously Reported That Miss Kay’s Health Impacted Her Time On Duck Dynasty: The Revival
Duck Dynasty originally aired from 2012 to 2017 on A&E for eleven seasons, focusing on the Robertson family and their Duck Commander company. A revival, Duck Dynasty: The Revival, of the series recently premiered on the network this past June.
Through the series, fans were introduced to Miss Kay, the widow of Duck Commander founder Phil Robertson. Kay was married to Phil from 1966 to his death in 2025. Kay quickly became a fan favorite on the show, from her cooking skills, even releasing her own cookbook, to her distinctive accent.
As previously reported, fans grew worried about Miss Kay after it had been reported that she endured a serious fall. At the time, while Kay appeared in the first episode of the revival’s premiere, it was reported that health issues had kept her from appearing in later episodes.
However, fans recently got a health update about the Duck Dynasty matriarch. Notably, this update came from Miss Kay herself.
Kay recently appeared on the Duck Call Room podcast. Her son Al started the good news, sharing, “She’s been doing her physical therapy, she lost some weight, and she’s been really great.”
Kay confirmed that she was healthier than she had been over the past year. She shared, Well, yes,” noting she’s especially been doing better since “those months in the hospital.”
Fans Were Also Happy To See Miss Kay During Her Recent Podcast Appearance
Al also confirmed that his mother is enduring “a little dementia.” However, it was confirmed that what she was experiencing wasn’t as severe as what her husband Phil went through.
Even the episode’s title highlighted how well Kay was doing. As it read, “Miss Kay is back—and doing just fine, despite what the internet says.”
Taking to the comments, fans were also happy to see Miss Kay. Naturally, many were relieved to hear the update had good news. In fact, a few noted that she seemed to look and sound well during the podcast. Some comments included:
