    Philadelphia concerts have returned in January 2024, and with the new year freshly arriving, some of your favorite artists are heading back on the road. The City of Brotherly Love is no exception, and several exciting acts will be making tour stops in Philadelphia this January — including Madonna’s “Celebration Tour,” Wednesday, The Charlatans and Ride’s co-headlining tour, and Philly’s own Alex G.

    Motion City Soundtrack are teaming up with Gully Boys for a headlining tour this winter. The occasion arrives in celebration of the 20th anniversary of I Am the Movie, Motion City Soundtrack’s aptly-named debut album. The tour will feature Motion City Soundtrack playing the album in full each night, so prepare yourself for a blast of early aughts pop-punk.

    Noise for Now, a non-profit specializing in reproductive justice, is teaming up with Ground Control Touring for a benefit concert series that takes place in five U.S. cities. The Philadelphia date will take place at the beloved Johnny Brenda’s, and will feature an exciting slate of indie and punk artists — including hometown heroes and Consequence CoSigns Poison Ruïn.

    Former Consequence CoSigns Meet Me @ the Altar are embarking on the “Say It to My Face Tour” at the start of 2024, and it’s a great chance to see the trio play songs from their long-awaited 2023 debut, Past//Present//Future. They’re one of the most exciting groups in the newest class of pop-punk, and their high-energy shows reflect that through and through.

    Madonna’s “Celebration Tour” is something of an “Eras Tour,” but with quite a few surprises baked in. She’s resurrected several songs from her catalog that previously hadn’t made the setlist, and the tour’s celebratory fanfare, numerous costume changes, and ecstatic dance sequences make it a must-see Madonna show.

    January 26th @ Union Transfer

    After dozens and dozens of shows in support of his 2022 album God Save the Animals, Alex G is returning home to Philly this January for a special concert at Union Transfer with Hop Along and Saintseneca. The show is a benefit for the late Steve Poponi, a producer, songwriter, and mainstay of the Philadelphia music scene. Tickets are currently sold out, but check the link below in case additional tickets become available.
