The outrageous monster movie throwback, “Bloodspawn” kicks off 31 Days of Halloween on The B Stream.
Genre superstars Bill Oberst Jr. (Abraham Lincoln Vs. Zombies), R. Keith Harris (The Walking Dead), Roger Willie (Windtalkers), and Raw Lieba (Bone Tomahawk) assemble in this all out horror romp directed by Derek S. Campbell and David Rotan.
A frontier-era gang of misfits are trapped and surrounded by an evil ravenous creature of Cherokee folklore. The unlikely allies must put aside their differences to battle this ancient hellbeast before it’s too late.
Based on an authentic Indigenous mythological monster, Bloodspawn is a fun-filled classic popcorn movie with a unique retro look, style, and soundtrack, buttered with thrills, chills and seasoned with a healthy dash of old-school practical effects rather than just all modern CGI elements. Bloodspawn plays as a nostalgic campy grindhouse-style homage to the creature features of the 1980s.
