Deal or No Deal Island Season 2, Episode 10 Recap

Season 3 of Deal or No Deal Island is rocketing towards the finish line. There are now five players left in the game, and they are facing a brutal double-elimination.

Last time, David had to choose between Lete and his island son, Dickson Wong, to play the Banker. In the end, Lete played against the Banker and made a good deal. However, she stayed true to her threat to send Dickson home. So, let’s jump into the Season 2, Episode 10 recap of Deal or No Deal Island, “Money To Burn.”

Will the Family alliance finally crumble on Deal or No Deal Island Season 2?

Back at camp, the group made a toast to Dickson. His island dad acknowledged that he enjoyed seeing Dickson grow. Later on, CK, Lete, and Phillip chatted about Parvati and David, who were sitting on the dock. For Lete, the Family alliance is the dark side.

And somewhere in the middle is CK. However, she pinky promised to stick with Phillip and Lete to get rid of the Family. Still, CK admitted in her confessional that she was “playing both sides.” There is zero shame in CK’s gaming.

As they strolled back to camp, David told Parvati that it was “a real pleasure” playing Deal or No Deal Island with her. Then they embraced. Aww!

The next morning, David approached Phillip, asking if they could work together. Interestingly, David knew that Phillip believed that Parvati shouldn’t become a millionaire again. Is David going to turn on Parvati after she protected his secret? Damn!

Right now, David is playing for himself, and these alliances are being torn apart. So, David and Phillip made a deal to get each other through the challenge to make the final three. Meanwhile, CK has her fingers crossed that the family and the High-Five Alliance will battle it out, and she can grab onto the winner. Plus, Parvati hopes that she can avoid taking out CK or David, but she acknowledged that David is a huge threat.

The group met up with Game Master and host Joe Manganiello. They are at the Banker’s fire pit, which sounds ominous. As Joe was speaking, flames shot up from the structure. And Joe flashed the “horns” hand signal, telling the players to rock on. I love it!

After the upcoming double elimination, the remaining players will be just one excursion away from playing for the final case. And this challenge will reveal whether each player values money over power.

There are five bags of money suspended by a rope above the flames. Each player’s bag is weighted to a quarter of their body weight. And for the contestant who holds up their bag the longest, they can keep the $75,000 inside. Sweet deal!

However, Joe will also announce cases with random values. To claim one, a player must drop their bag of money. If a case is unclaimed, it will go back through the rotation. For the player with the highest value case, they will be chilling with total safety and “unprecedented power” at The Temple.

However, if two players claim the same case, they will split its value. In the end, the guests with the two lowest cases will be at risk of facing the Banker, and of going home. And to add a new twist, the winner of the excursion will select one of the bottom two players to go home immediately at Temple. Then the remaining player at the bottom will face the Banker. If the contestant makes a good deal, they can send home anyone except for the winner of the challenge.

A mistake could doom two players during Deal or No Deal Island Season 2

No one wanted the first two cases, which were worth $1.5 million and $1.75 million. The group then turned down $2.75 million. Finally, the amounts started to decrease.

In a shocking moment, Lete was the first to drop her money bag, claiming the $2.5 million case. Buckle up, because Joe has another twist. Now that Lete has chosen power, she can add her weight to another player. And she selected David, who was already struggling.

The next case was worth $3 million, and Parvati and CK both let go at the same time. Although they both said that they wanted it, they said it at the same time! This is the first time that Parvati hasn’t had immunity in 10 excursions.

Of course, that also meant that they would split the value, ending up with $1.5 million each. Not a comfy place to be, and Parvati was angry. Plus, Parvati and CK had to give their weight to someone else, and only Phillip and David were left. This game is brutal!

Of course, Parvati chose Phillip, while CK selected David. The guys were 45 minutes into the challenge, and David was screaming in agony. The cases went back through the rotation again. Both Phillip and David want the $2.75 million case. However, David pledged to give Phillip the $75,000 if he doesn’t drop at the same time as David.

Will Phillip agree to David’s offer? The $2.75 million came up, and Phillip told David to take it. Now David is in control of who is going home, and who will face the Banker.

Then all of David’s weight was added to Phillip, as he struggled to hold on. Finally, he dropped, winning the cash, and claiming the $1.25 million case. However, he is in danger of facing the Banker at Temple, as are CK and Parvati. Since both ladies have $1.5 million, there is now a bottom three. Yikes!

At camp, everyone tried to talk to David. CK suggested that since Phillip won the money, he should be eliminated. Both Parvati and CK pledged to send home Lete, but CK was coming on strong.

So, David and Parvati discussed the options. She doesn’t want to play against the Banker, but she doesn’t believe that CK won’t target her. And Parvati knows for sure that Phillip will send her home.

Of course, CK told Lete that if she plays the Banker and loses, she is taking out Parvati. Then she told Parvati that to her face. And when David asked Phillip, he said that if he played and won, he would take out Parvati.

Still, Parvati has a connection with David, and she wanted them to be in the final two together. In the end, Parvati told David that she would play the Banker to control her fate. So, now David is facing a tough strategic choice, and it’s time to send one of the bottom three home.

Phillip Solomon was the tenth player eliminated in Deal or No Deal Island Season 2.

Poor Phillip looked crushed when David made his choice. “I am truly blessed and honored to have spent the time here that I did. I wish it was more about the money or winning or whatever else, but along the way, I truly found a version of myself that I didn’t know existed before I was here,” Phillip told Joe.

In his final confessional, Phillip said, “I’m feeling so proud of all the things that I did while I was here.” He added, “It’s bittersweet that David ended my journey here because the last thing he told me was to trust him. And that is something that I will never forget.”

However, the episode ended before David decided whether Parvati or CK would play the Banker. I guess we will find out next week!

Deal or No Deal Island continues on Tuesdays at 9/8c on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
