Elena Dubaich Questions Why Bri Muller Joined Reality TV

Elena Dubaich appeared at the tail-end of Below Deck Mediterranean Season 7, so we didn’t see much of her backstory. Returning for all of Season 9 (so far), we are learning more about Elena. She likes her mid-rank position, Joe Bradley, and a high, messy pony. She dislikes Bri Muller, notes left in the laundry room, and doing the cabins before setting the tables. In addition, Ellie also dislikes the hateful comments that arrive on her socials, especially the ones that flooded in on one of her rather messy posts about Bri.

Elena questions if Bri is strong enough for Reality TV

It is no secret that Ellie and Bri are at odds. This stew feud has been escalating with each episode that passes. CliffsNotes, Bri is green. And Ellie can be mean.

While Elena could just be stressed out and exhausted, her responses to Bri are starting to push the envelope. She recently placed her hands on Bri, trying to get Bri to cease wiping down a surface and listen to her commands. Likewise, Ellie’s responses are causing Bri to cry at random. It is all growing rather heavy to watch.

This season felt like it had the potential to break free from its toxic norms via the return of Aesha Scott. So this petty plot twist sucks. Wildly, Ellie’s not backing down from her hardened stances, as she is now using her socials to bash Bri.

In a now-deleted post to X, the artist formerly known as Twitter, Ellie wrote: “Let’s be real for a sec – if any degree of conflict makes you crumble, makes you feel bullied, belittled, victimized, etc – please do not sign up to be on Reality TV. Because nobody wants to watch 4 months of somebody crying over dirty underwear and getting positive reinforcement.”

Ellie is correct on one thing. We do not want to watch four months of crying. However, there is an easy fix, and it all starts with Ellie. If she wants Bri to stop crying and perform well, Ellie should lead with kindness and humility. As everyone should.

Below Deck Mediterranean continues each Monday at 9/8c on Bravo.

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON ELLIE’S DELETED POST? IS BRI EQUALLY TO BLAME FOR THE DISTRESS IN THE INTERIOR DEPARTMENT ON BELOW DECK MED?
