Emily Ratajkowski’s Completely Backless Connor Ives Dress Hangs on Strings

Emily Ratajkowski once again proved why she’s one of the Vanity Fair Oscar Party’s most memorable scene stealers. The model stepped out for the occasion in a daring velvet gown by Connor Ives. Ratajkowski has become a consistent standout at the event, often opting for bold designs that command attention. Staying true to that reputation, she slipped into a deep maroon dress that embraced a striking, figure-hugging silhouette.

According to Bustle, Emily Ratajkowski’s gown featured a plunging cowl neckline that evoked 90s glamour. It draped softly across the front while highlighting her collarbones. Crafted in rich velvet, a fabric that is closely associated with that era, the dress added depth and a subtle glow under the lights.

The drama, however, unfolded at the back as seen in a reel posted on Ratajkowski’s Instagram. The dress hung delicately by barely there straps, revealing a completely backless silhouette that created a striking effect. Dramatic side cutouts and a fluid drape along her hips further enhanced the sensual appeal of the outfit. The loose fit also allowed the gown to move effortlessly with every step. Ruching along the waist shaped the silhouette, while the slouchy construction gave the look a natural fall.

She paired the gown with matching platform heels by Christian Louboutin, which subtly peeked through as she walked. Keeping the focus on the dress, Ratajkowski skipped heavy jewelry and instead opted for a clean, minimalist approach. Her beauty look mirrored the understated styling. She wore her hair down in soft, effortless waves with a centre part, while her makeup featured bronzed tones, softly defined eyes, and a nude lip that complemented the deep hue of the dress.

Styled by Danielle Goldberg, the overall look captured Ratajkowski’s signature red-carpet style. The outfit was confident, sultry, and unapologetically bold. It blended vintage inspiration with a modern edge.
