Hailey Bieber showcased a new nude lip combo featuring products from her own brand and M.ph. The look arrived months after Rhode faced online criticism over a crowded pop-up. Bieber’s latest routine still included a Rhode product before switching to another label.
Hailey Bieber paired Rhode with M.ph by Mary Phillips products for her latest nude lip look, months after Rhode faced backlash
Bieber shared her latest beauty routine on TikTok while showing off her darker espresso hair. She began the makeup look with Rhode’s Peptide Lip Shape. She then reached for products from M.ph by Mary Phillips.
The model used the brand’s Overline lip liner in Skinny Dip. She followed it with Top Coat Hydrating lip gloss in Wild Thing. The combination created a lighter caramel-nude finish for her lips.
The products came from makeup artist Mary Phillips, who has worked with Bieber for years. Phillips has also created looks for celebrities including Kendall Jenner. Bieber previously used M.ph foundation during another viral get-ready-with-me video.
The latest routine marked another example of Bieber mixing brands in her beauty looks. She remains closely associated with Rhode Beauty, which she founded. However, her latest lip combo highlighted products from another beauty label.
Rhode faced backlash earlier this year over its Newport, Rhode Island pop-up. Attendees complained about lengthy waits and products selling out during the event. Some customers said they waited for hours before reaching checkout.
One attendee said she waited from before 9 a.m. until 7:45 p.m. Several shoppers also criticized limited inventory and the event’s organization. Rhode had warned customers that wait times could be long.
The criticism continued around later limited-edition launches and scarcity-focused marketing. Online commenters complained about repeated limited releases and difficulty buying desired products. Some shoppers said they preferred permanent products they could repurchase.
Despite that criticism, Rhode continued launching new products and collaborations. The brand became a billion-dollar company following its acquisition by e.l.f. Beauty. Bieber also continued promoting Rhode products across her social media platforms.
Her latest look suggests she is not abandoning Rhode’s signature aesthetic. Instead, she paired its product with Mary Phillips’ own cosmetics. The resulting nude lip combo blended Rhode’s influence with M.ph’s newer offerings.
