    I loved making those movies

    I loved making those movies

Like many of us, our 90s television crushes have discovered podcasting this decade. Unlike many of us, they are friends with others who graced Teen Vogue and Teen People during our youth. This sometimes leads to us getting very juicy tidbits out of nowhere when two stars sit down and hit record.

This is where Michael Rosenbaum (Urban Legend and Zoe, Duncan, Jack, and Jane) enters the chat. On the last episode of his show Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum, he sat down with Jennifer Love Hewitt. Of course, I Know What You Did Last Summer came up during the conversation. This is when Hewitt mentioned to Rosenbaum, that she would be game to do another sequel. She told the host, “I loved making those movies. I’d do it. For sure.”

There has been gossip swirling for months about a legacy sequel to the I Know What You Did Last Summer. Rumors about Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. being in talks to return had to be shut down by Prinze himself. Because we know Prinze wants to return to horror, and now have confirmation Hewitt would do another sequel, it is hard for fans of the franchise to not feel a little hopeful.

I Know What You Did Last Summer was directed by Jim Gillespie. It was adapted for the screen by the one and only Kevin Williamson. The script was based on Lois Duncan’s novel of the same name. The movie went on to spawn two sequels and a series. Jennifer Love Hewitt appeared in the first two movies.

As a child of Kevin Williams ’90s, writing an article with all these names of ’90s teen actors is possibly the highlight of my career. Whether or not we get a sequel, I feel like culture won today. Do you think I Know What You Did Last Summer deserves a legacy sequel? Or do you think we should forget that summer already? Let me know at @misssharai.
