J Hus announces ‘Big Conspiracy’ fifth anniversary show at Royal Albert Hall

J Hus has announced a special London show to mark the fifth anniversary of his second album, ‘Big Conspiracy’. Find all the details below.

The London rapper and singer released the critically-acclaimed, UK Number One record in early 2020. It earned him a BRIT Award nomination in the Album Of The Year category in 2021, as well as a glowing five-star review from NME.

Following on from Hus’ 2017 debut ‘Common Sense’, the LP contains the Top Five single ‘Must Be’ and the Top 40 track ‘No Denying’.

Today (May 28), the artist has shared details of a “one-night-only” concert at the historic Royal Albert Hall in the capital to celebrate five years of ‘Big Conspiracy’. The performance is scheduled for Tuesday June 17.

According to a press release, the forthcoming gig will bring the “genre-defining sound of ‘Big Conspiracy’ back to the stage – and bigger than ever”.

“This will be an intimate and deeply personal show, honouring an album that helped redefine the sound of British music,” it adds.

Hus is keeping ticket prices as low as possible for this London date, pricing them at £30.

“In an era of rising costs and inaccessible shows, this decision reflects Hus’ ongoing commitment to his community – making sure the people who made the music matter most can be there in person,” organisers said.

Tickets go on general sale at 12pm BST this Friday (May 30) – you’ll be able to buy yours here. Alternatively, you can find pre-sale information via Ticketmaster.

Reviewing ‘Big Conspiracy’ upon its release, NME hailed the project as “a brilliant, career-defining collection”.

It read: “Where ‘Common Sense’ felt like an introduction to his work, a wiser and more subdued J Hus occupies ‘Big Conspiracy’. It’s a more rounded project with polished edges that sparkle in parts; a perfect counterweight to the introspective lyrics throughout.

“Though it may carry a similar formula, making it hard to pin the album down to one complete sound, Hus showcases his range and gift for incorporating multiple genres within one album.”

The artist has since followed up the LP with 2023’s ‘Beautiful And Brutal Yard’, which also topped the charts in the UK. This too was nominated for Album Of The Year at the BRIT Awards, as well as being shortlisted for the Mercury Prize.
