Bachelorette alum Jenn Tran didn’t take home the Mirror Ball during her time on Dancing with the Stars, but she made a new friend. Following her elimination from the competition on October 29, she shared that she’s taking away so much from the experience.
“All the people that I’ve met have been so kind,” the physician assistant student said. “I truly felt like a part of the family here. So, I’m walking away with a new family that I didn’t know that I had and such an incredible man who I got to meet by [a] twist of fate.”
Jenn added that she’s taking away some “great memories” from her time on the show and with pro dancer Sasha Farber.
Are they more than dancing partners/friends?
“We weren’t even supposed to be on the show this season,” Jenn told People. “So I’m just so happy.”
“Every day rehearsal is such a blessing, and we got to have so much fun together,” she continued. “It’s just been an incredible, incredible journey, and I’m just so proud and happy.” Sasha admitted that he’s “so happy” as well.
“It’s not about winning at the end of the day,” Jenn explained. “It’s about the experience.” She and Sasha have created “so many amazing memories” that they will be taking with them.
On October 19, Jenn documented one of those memories on her TikTok account. The dancing partners got “into character” for Disney Night by renting a swan boat at L.A.’s Echo Park. In the video, Jenn joked that they were going on a “one-on-one date,” referencing her time as The Bachelorette.
Days later, after dancing to “Kiss the Girl” from Disney’s Little Mermaid, co-host Julianne Hough asked if their natural chemistry made a difference in their dancing. Jenn admitted that it “absolutely” did.
Julianne then took it further and teased Sasha about only kissing Jenn on the forehead at the end of the routine. “Sasha, come on,” she laughed.
Jenn joked, “He got nervous.”
In regard to their relationship, Jenn added, “We trust each other so much. We know each other so well. So that’s why this works so well.”
DWTS has produced some lasting relationships in the past. The intimacy created by the intensity of dance can ignite sparks. Whether it’s love or just friendship with Jenn and Sasha remains to be seen.
