Katy Perry jokes about NSFW Orlando Bloom “dish-washing” comment at London TV special

Katy Perry jokes about NSFW Orlando Bloom “dish-washing” comment at London TV special

Katy Perry made a nod to her NSFW comments about her husband Orlando Bloom during her recent one-off London show.

The pop star performed at the Central Hall Westminster last night (December 11), as part of a new TV special for Christmas 2024. It is being billed as Night Of A Lifetime and will be shown on ITV later this month.

As well as breaking out fan favourites throughout the gig, Perry also made a cheeky nod to her recent comments about husband Orlando Bloom. These referred to her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, when she said that she would reward him sexually if she saw he had cleaned the house and washed the dishes.

Alluding to the X-rated remarks during her London gig, MailOnline reports that Perry thanked Bloom for passing her a drink while she was on stage and made a quip, saying:  “He does the dishes, he gives me water…”

She then made another nod to the interview later in the show, when she took questions from members of the audience. During the segment, one crowd member asked what Bloom would say is Perry’s most annoying habit. “Maybe [not] being on time, which is constantly my New Year resolution,” she began.

“But I think it might be that I don’t do the dishes… But it’s better for him now that I don’t do the dishes.”

The couple first began dating back in 2016, and now share a four-year-old daughter called Daisy.

Perry’s Night Of A Lifetime special is set to air on ITV in the UK later this month. It was one of her final shows for 2024, with other remaining dates including a stop at the Z100 Jingle Ball in New York on Friday (13) and the Q102 Jingle Ball in Philadelphia on Monday (16).

Earlier this year, the pop star shared her seventh studio album ‘143’, and went on to announce a 2025 UK tour – with £1 from every ticket going to Music Venue Trust (MVT).

A number of European dates have been added to the ‘Lifelines’ tour too, as have shows in Australia, Canada and South America. Visit here for UK tickets and here for international tickets.

Upon its release, Perry’s ‘143‘, was described by NME as “a record that sometimes hits the target but rarely leaves a lasting impression.”

“Pop fans have a fondness for resurrecting ‘flop’ albums that were given short shrift when they first came out: Mariah Carey’s ill-fated soundtrack album ‘Glitter’ and Christina Aguilera’s sonic hodgepodge ‘Bionic’ have both become cult classics of sorts. But even this fate seems unlikely for ‘143’, a serviceable but slightly dull collection on which Perry struggles to relocate her old sense of fun.”
