Is Kelly Clarkson’s talk show finally drawing to a close?
The NBC talk show first premiered on the network back in 2019. Since then, fans have loved seeing the bubbly singer discuss life and various other topics with guests.
But according to insiders, that all might be coming to an end. Will Season 7 mark the end of The Kelly Clarkson Show? See what sources close to the singer have to say and what NBC reportedly thinks about the situation.
Kelly Clarkson Reportedly Wants To End Her Talk Show
New reports indicate that American Idol champion Kelly Clarkson is eager to finish her current contract and conclude her talk show. As much as the 42-year-old has enjoyed hosting and interviewing guests over the years, she’s ready for the next chapter.

One of the driving factors behind Kelly’s decision reportedly involves her family life. She’s originally from Texas and family matters tremendously to her. And as she co-parents her two children with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, Kelly wants to be more present in the kids’ lives.
Her children are getting older and engaging in more interests and activities. It makes sense she’d want to spend more time with them and less time in New York City.
“Kelly’s number one priority is her children, and they always will be,” an insider close to the singer allegedly told Page Six. “The show is grueling. It’s a whole lot of work, and I hear that Kelly would like to spend more time down South.”

These new reports come as rumors run rampant. As viewers know, The Kelly Clarkson Show failed to produce new episodes for nearly two weeks earlier this year. The singer reportedly stepped away to deal with pressing personal matters.
NBC Would Love To Keep The Talk Show Running
Even if Kelly Clarkson feels ready to end her show, NBC seems to have other plans. The network is reportedly doing everything in its power to keep the singer happy and comfortable. But is it enough?
“Kelly Clarkson is a national treasure. We couldn’t wait to announce another season of The Kelly Clarkson Show, fresh off the top-rated Christmas in Rockefeller Center in which Kelly hosted,” a representative for NBC stated when the network renewed the show for a seventh season last December.
However, NBC could possibly be persuaded to part ways with the talk show.
“It’s a tough job and profit margins are low,” an insider reportedly shared with Page Six. If the show continues to be more work than its worth, NBC might be willing to let Kelly leave New York for good.
