Megyn Kelly Flags Tucson Detail in Nancy Guthrie Ransom Note

Megyn Kelly is spotlighting a key detail in the alleged Nancy Guthrie ransom note. She flagged a Tucson clue hinting at where the abductor may be hiding the missing mother.

A prominent broadcaster is drawing fresh attention to a single line buried in a chilling ransom note. As she read the message on air, one geographic clue jumped out, hinting at where the kidnappers may still be holding a missing woman. Her breakdown brought new urgency to a mystery that has haunted a famous family for months.

Megyn Kelly discusses the Tucson reference in the alleged ransom note

Megyn Kelly zeroed in on a striking Tucson detail after the alleged first ransom note in the tm case surfaced. Kelly, 55, walked her viewers through the letter during the Thursday, July 30, episode of The Megyn Kelly Show.

“It’s fascinating to actually hear it read,” Kelly said. She then pointed to the passage that TMZ founder Harvey Levin had flagged.

“Then we see the part that Harvey Levin had been referring to for a while about how he believes that they have her within the Tucson area, because he says she’ll be released within 12 hours of deposit to a safe drop-off location back in Tucson if we get the money,” Kelly continued.

Meanwhile, Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of NBC anchor Savannah Guthrie, disappeared from her home near Tucson, Arizona, on Feb. 1. Investigators fielded several ransom notes throughout the search. As a result, the case gripped true crime followers nationwide.

Journalist Briana Whitney, who personally viewed the note, read it on the “Crime Junkie” podcast. “This is how it started. Hello Savannah. We have your mother Nancy. She is safe but scared. She will be held for ransom and once payment is received, she will be released unharmed. We will be holding her for a maximum of seven days,” Whitney read.

Furthermore, the letter demanded millions of dollars and set two deadlines. It also spelt out the Tucson drop-off plan. “Once payment is received to the Bitcoin address below, she will be released 12 hours after deposit to a safe drop-off location back in Tucson,” the note continued.

Then, the message ended with a threat. “Do not play games. Law enforcement will not be able to help you,” it concluded.

Meanwhile, Savannah Guthrie, 54, pressed for answers throughout the ordeal. Recently, she posted a video that urged the abductor to “do the right thing” and “tell us where to look for her.” Ultimately, the investigation reached its sixth month, yet authorities named no suspects publicly.
