Michael B. Jordan’s new animated film, Swapped, is flying high on Netflix’s streaming charts right now. After premiering last weekend, the film has immediately dethroned other popular films, including Charlize Theron’s latest survival thriller.

Meanwhile, the Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton thriller Apex has slipped to #2 after leading the charts for over a week. Other titles on the list include Viggo Mortensen’s Green Book at #3, Melissa McCarthy’s The Boss at #4, Megan Fox’s Jennifer’s Body at #5, and Emma Stone’s Zombieland: Double Tap at #6.
The story of Swapped takes place in a fictional woodland, home to unique wildlife. It centers on Ollie, a small Pookoo, and his rival, Ivy, a majestic Javan bird. The two accidentally swap bodies after touching a mysterious magical pod, which forces them to work together. On their journey to reverse the effect, Ollie and Ivy counter various threats, including a dangerous creature that once divided their home.
Nathan Greno, one of the co-directors of Disney’s Tangled, helmed the film from a story he co-wrote with John Whittington, Adam Karp, Christian Magalhaes, and Robert Snow. The movie’s voice cast features Michael B. Jordan as Ollie, Juno Temple as Ivy, Tracy Morgan as Boogle, Cedric the Entertainer as Caloo, Justina Machado as Calli, Ambika Mod as Violet, and Lolly Adefope as Lily.
