Michael Jordan recently went viral after appearing in a video after he attended the 2026 Daytona 500. Since then, commenters have been reacting to the story on social media, with many asking what was going on. This also came out after Jordan had big news to share following the event.

Michael Jordan Was Recently Involved With The 2026 Daytona 500

Jordan is a businessman and a retired professional basketball player. Spending 15 seasons in the NBA, he won six championships with the Chicago Bulls.

Recently, however, Jordan has come under fire after footage of him during a celebration for NASCAR’s Daytona 500 went viral. In the footage, Jordan could be seen reaching toward a young boy. In the clip, he appeared to touch the boy’s legs and tug at his T-shirt.

Taking to social media, many commenters shared their reactions to the video on social media. Many decried the moment as inappropriate. As one commenter simply asked, “What is Michael Jordan doing?”

However, other commenters have different reactions. Many initially suspected that the video could have been made with AI. A few posts also made reference to Jeffrey Epstein, with a few poking fun at “Jeffrey” being Jordan’s middle name.

Others came to Jordan’s defense. As one commenter shared, “That’s his driver’s kid and he was pulling his shirt. Just being playful with the kid. Everyone’s hyper-focused on Epstein and other perverse media trying to make nothing into something.”

Many Commenters Took To Social Media To Ask What They Just Saw

This comes out as Jordan’s 23XI racing team, with driver Tyler Reddick, won the 68th Daytona 500. The NBA Hall of Famer could even be seen hugging Reddick at the event in Victory Lane.

At the time, Jordan shared, “I can’t even believe it. You never know how these races are gonna end. You just try to survive.” In addition to being seen helping Reddick lift the Harley J. Earl Trophy, Jordan will also receive a Daytona 500 ring.

According to The Daytona Beach News-Journal, Jordan also shared that he and his family had watched the event for years. He noted, “The family sat there and we watched the race. Four hours, five hours, six hours, didn’t matter. We were gonna watch the race.”

According to OK! Magazine, Jordan and his team have not responded to the controversy surrounding the viral video. Ultimately, many commenters continued to share their reactions to the video on social media. While many decried the moment, others were also left asking questions. Some comments included:

    • “That’s inappropriate unless that’s his child or they have a good relationship.”
    • “Looked around before doing it to see if anyone was watching him. He weird weird.”
    • “We can not let MJ get away with this!”
    • “Society is way too sexualized man. Jordan’s just messing with the kid its weird to even insinuate what it’s insinuating.”
    • “Please tell me this isn’t real.”
    • “Interesting celebration choice by Michael Jordan after winning the Daytona 500.”
    • “Michael ‘Jeffrey’ Jordan”
    • “I pray this is AI or else nah.”
    • “Wtf could even be the context for this.”
