A new trailer for Shelby Oaks has been released.

Shelby Oaks is an upcoming horror film being released in United States theaters this coming October from Neon. Executive produced by Mike Flanagan, the film is written and directed by Chris Stuckmann in his feature film directorial debut.

Check out the trailer for Shelby Oaks below (watch more trailers and clips):

What happens in the Shelby Oaks trailer?

The Shelby Oaks trailer sees a woman named Mia, played by Camille Sullivan, search for her younger sister, Riley, played by Sarah Dunn. That 12-year-long search involves a paranormal investigation, some gruesome murders, and a “man standing in [Riley’s window] staring at her.”

“A woman’s desperate search for her long-lost sister falls into obsession, upon realizing that the imaginary demon from their childhood may have been real,” a description of the film reads.

The cast of the movie further includes Brendan Sexton III, Michael Beach, Robin Bartlett, Keith David, Charlie Talbert, Emily Bennett, Sarah Dunn, and Derek Mears.

Stuckmann — who is known for being a YouTube film critic — produces the movie alongside Aaron B. Koontz, Ashleigh Snead, and Cameron Burns for Paper Street Pictures, while Trevor Macy and Melinda Nishioka executive produce with Flanagan for Intrepid Pictures. Adam F. Goldberg, Paul Holbrook, Sean E. DeMott, and Tony Killough are also executive producers.

Shelby Oaks came to fruition due to a successful $1.39 million Kickstarter campaign. It was screened at the 28th Fantasia International Film Festival in July 2024 and the 25th FrightFest film festival the following month, and it now has an 81 percent Rotten Tomatoes score with 21 reviews. Following the screenings, Shelby Oaks conducted reshoots in March 2025 that cost around $1 million to give the movie “more blood and gore,” according to IndieWire.

Shelby Oaks will be released in United States theaters on October 3, 2025, from Neon.
