Neymar Comes to Daughter’s Rescue Amid Football Mishap in Viral Clip

Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr. was recently present in Santos for the Brazilian Serie A match against Corinthians. In a clip that went viral on social media, a stray football struck his daughter Mavie in the head. He then comforts her and carries her in his arms, giving her a cuddle.

In a viral post on X (formerly Twitter), Neymar Jr. and his two-year-old daughter Mavie were seen hanging out by the pitch in Santos. The incident took place when a security guard mishandled a stray football that accidentally hit little Mavie on the head. As the two-year-old bursts into tears, Neymar picks her up and gives her a cuddle to comfort her. Neymar was present at the Urbano Caldeira Stadium in Santos for his home team’s match against SC Corinthians Paulista.

Many fans responded to the post in the comments. One fan wrote in Portuguese, “Damn, that’s a shame lol, the worst thing is that this security guard is such a nice guy, he helped me get a photo with Neymar lol.” Another commented, “It was the security guard’s fault that he kicked the ball.” However, on the following day, Neymar posted a video on social media, with the caption in Portuguese, “Mavie, daddy called his friends and avenged you.” In this video, he got the security guard to face a gauntlet formed by the Santos FC squad on their training grounds. At the end, Neymar also gave the guard a hug, making peace with him.

This incident took place just a few days after Mavie suffered a hand injury. In a video clip shared on social media by Mavie’s mother, Bruna Biancardi, Neymar danced for his injured daughter while dressed as a fairy. Recently, Neymar also had his second daughter, Mel, with Bruna Biancardi in July 2025.
