Welcome back for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, Episode 14 recap! In the aftermath of last week’s cliffhanger, Kyle is considering her next move in her marriage. There’s a lot to get through, so shall we just jump right in? Here’s what went down during RHOBH Season 14, Episode 14: “Hemlines and Headlines.”
What happened in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, Episode 14?
During The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, Episode 14, the ladies continued to react to the paparazzi photos taken of Mauricio kissing another woman. Sutton also went ahead with her fashion show, where Kathy caused a stir. Dorit called out Garcelle for not calling out Sutton “in the moment” when she’s being cruel. Plus, Erika’s moving onto the next chapter of her life. All that and more during RHOBH Season 14, Episode 14 – it was a solid installment!
Kyle catches up with Kathy and talks about Mauricio’s paparazzi photos
Kyle’s hitting the road with Kathy to attend a mammogram. Always get your mammograms, people!
In the car, Kyle’s “still processing” those clearly-staged paparazzi photos of Mauricio and another woman locking lips. “It’s very strange to see,” she adds in confessional. “I was expecting to see him maybe in person, out and about in a restaurant. But this? No.”
Back in the car with Kathy, Kyle admits she has “mixed feelings.” She believes Mauricio is being “irresponsible,” which I think is the nicest thing she could say. Thinking he’d rang the photographers is certainly how I would feel about the whole situation. For now, Kyle’s handling this one with grace. That makes her a better person than me. Kathy agrees that he didn’t “orchestrate” this. However, she thinks somebody else might have; and isn’t afraid to do some digging to find out who exactly did it.
Kyle thinks Mauricio is “freaking out” after the photos hit. Then, she decides it’s time to remove “wife” from her Instagram bio. Nothing like priorities. Kyle also points out Mau took both “husband” and “father” out of his bio. Was that last one necessary? He’s being a jackass.
Over with Erika, she’s feeling the “new energy” with her home’s redesign. “I don’t look at the furniture and have past memories; I look at it and it’s 100% mine.” I’ve got to admit, Erika’s performance this season has been second to none. It’s good to see her getting back on her feet. As the designer Martin put it, she really is a “phoenix in a den of gorgeousness.”
As Erika’s mother Renée arrives, she’s instantly impressed. “This is more you,” she says. There’s no denying that Erika’s home needed a facelift, and Martin’s done a fabulous job.
Sutton thinks it’s time Kyle got the attorneys involved
At her store – is that still open? – Sutton is visited by Garcelle. “I am going insane with this frickin’ fashion show,” Sutton admits. Plus, her mother Reba is headed into town. Or, she should be, but her flight has been canceled due to a huge tech outage. “We’re all crossing our fingers that her next flight is going to make it,” the Southern belle says in confessional. Is it too much to wonder if Reba grounded all of those flights herself, just because she couldn’t be bothered to attend? I’m kidding … kinda.
“To invite Dorit, or not to invite Dorit – that is the question,” Sutton ponders. They’ve had a terrible few months with their feuding reaching new levels. The pair enjoy jabbing at one another too much, and as Garcelle puts it, “it’s never done.” She advises doing a group text for invitations, and then the pair get down to the important stuff: Mauricio’s kiss!
“She’s his daughter’s age,” Sutton says. “I think that Kyle needs to say, ‘Enough!’” Garcelle comes at it from a slightly more understanding angle. “It’s still her ex-husband.” Not quite, but close enough. “Her husband that she is holding onto for a pipe dream, and Cinderella, you didn’t lose one shoe, you done lost two shoes!” Sutton jokes. “Girl, you might lose the house,” Garcelle adds. Kyle won’t like this scene.
In confessional, Sutton hopes Kyle can see through what Mau is supposedly doing. She says he’s “moved on,” and thinks it’s time to call in the attorneys. It really does feel like Kyle and Mau’s separation is the never-ending saga.
Erika is ready to start over
Sitting down for a drink with her mom, Erika reflects on her journey, both with her house and in her life. “To me, [the redecoration] is a real symbol of starting over,” Erika says.
“It’s interesting how all of this has come to fruition, you know, the whole thing with Tom. I’m real proud of you, because I know what you’ve been through. There were days where I was scared to death,” Renée admits. Then, Erika gets rawer than ever before, admitting that her mom had every right to be worried.
“I’m proud of myself for not succumbing, because that was a real option,” Erika says in confessional. Nowadays, she’s thinking of her ex-husband “less and less.” At the time of filming, he’s coming up for trial. She’s not interested, and it’s good to see her closing the door on this chapter of her life.
“It’s not healthy to be reminded of the past. I don’t need to visit past trauma. I’m healing, and every time someone reminds me … it’s like cutting open a healing wound.”
As for the future? Erika’s not interested in marriage. “I like my autonomy,” she says. “I can do anything I want. It’s open-ended, I have a whole new life to write.” Three cheers to that! And to that delicious Porsche now sitting on Erika’s driveway.
Garcelle sits down with Dorit for another honest discussion
One-on-one sit downs between Garcelle and Dorit don’t often go well. “Hell, hath frozen over,” Dorit jokes in confessional. “I would’ve never imagined that Garcelle and I would be sitting down for dinner, just the two of us, but here we are!”
After making their orders, they get down to business. Right now, Dorit and PK are “status quo,” and she’s “happy” with that. Garcelle can relate, and actually says in confessional that the “compassion” from some of the other castmates isn’t there, because they forget she’s also a mother of two little kids.
Then, conversation shifts to Kyle and Mauricio, along with Kyle’s removal of “wife” from her Insta bio. “If Kyle was thinking of reconciling with Mau, is it possible now?” Dorit asks. Garcelle then brings another conversation to the table – was she posing at the side of Morgan Wade’s stage for revenge? At this point, who’s to know?
“It’s hard to think that Mau is not going to move on with his life when Kyle was so public with Morgan, picking her up at the airport, hanging out with her,” Garcelle says in confessional. “I think Mau’s like, ‘The writing’s on the wall, if she can do this, I can go and have my fun.’” She does have a point.
Finally, Garcelle wants to know about Dorit’s “beef” with Sutton. “It feels like you have very rose-tinted glasses,” Dorit responds. She wants to know why Garcelle thinks Dorit has been “cruel and a raging bitch,” but Sutton hasn’t. Still, Garcelle can admit Sutton’s recent comments were “mean.” It’s time for Garcelle to speak up when Sutton crosses a line, in the moment.
Sutton prepares for her fashion show with Jennifer
It’s the day of Sutton’s fashion show, and who better to keep the vibes going than Jennifer Tilly?
Sutton has press, celebrities, and buyers in attendance, so it’s essential the business looks good. Jennifer will be walking in the show, as will Garcelle’s son Jaid. Despite the focus on “sustainable fashion,” Jennifer’s not sure what it means. Come on, Jennifer! Time to look after the planet.
Back at home with her daughter, Sutton’s anxiety is rising. She gets on the phone to her mom Reba, who gave it her “best shot” to attend. Unfortunately, the flights just didn’t get fixed up in time. Reba spent 13 hours in the airport, the day after her canceled flight. She really did try her best. Maybe next time.
Night falls, and it’s time to kick things off. All the ladies are in attendance, and Kyle’s refusing to chat to the press. A smart move. Dorit’s “curious” if Sutton’s going to offer an apology (don’t hold your breath), and wait, is that Vanderpump Rules alum Scheana Shay? We love a cameo.
Catching up with Dorit, Kyle says Mau texted an apology. She thinks Mau is innocent, and suggests the woman he was kissing could have set everything up. “It seemed a little suspect. I mean, okay, Mau is not exactly Brad Pitt. Why are they chasing him in Mykonos?”
Kathy enters the chat, and thinks she may have broken her knee. “There are little steps and I had on a sandal, and I went flying and hit my hand, where are the hors d’oeuvre?” That broken knee healed up quickly.
Kathy wants Dorit to host Sutton’s fashion show
“I haven’t mentioned it but Dorit could do the introduction because she’s so into fashion, and do the narrating, but I don’t know if it’s a good idea,” Kathy says to Kyle. Her sister advises her to NOT suggest that to Sutton. “She will kill you.”
Sutton’s backstage, feeling nervous, and sipping on a cold one. Kathy then flees her seat, in search of Sutton. The other women try to get Kyle to chase after her, but Kathy is away.
“Sutton? Sutton! Did you need Dorit? She would introduce and could do all the narrating of the show,” Kathy suggests. “It’s like a real fashion show,” Sutton hits back. That’d be a big fat NOPE. “Obviously you’re deranged!” Sutton says in confessional. The show’s about to start, but Kathy’s not returned to her seat.
Wandering around the stage, she’s limping back. “She said that was VERY sweet of you!” Kathy says, before saying hello to Erika’s mom. The only problem is the models have started to exit, and Kathy is right in the way.
“Here’s Kathy Hilton pulling focus. Are we shocked? No!” Erika says. She finds the whole thing “fabulous,” and Boz is incredibly confused. Just another classic Kathy Hilton moment to add to RHOBH’s collection.
Erika applauds Sutton’s line, but doesn’t think it’ll win any fashion awards. Dorit chooses to remain silent when questioned about whether she’s impressed. Overall, the show is a success, Garcelle’s a proud mom, and Sutton’s over the moon. Congrats, Sutton! Next week, cast trip! Bring it on…
