Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, Episode 3 Recap

Welcome to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, Episode 3 recap. Last week, Sutton urged Kyle to file for divorce from her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky. However, Kyle wasn’t ready.

Plus, Kyle and Dorit were still feuding. Interestingly, both ladies questioned if salvaging their friendship was worth it. Here’s what happened in RHOBH Season 14, Episode 3: “Life’s A Beach.”

What happened in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, Episode 3?

Kyle’s sister, Kathy, invited all the ladies for a weekend in Oceanside, California. And her invitation was unique. Meanwhile, Mauricio and Kyle discussed Mauricio’s new “bachelor” pad and his attitude about their separation.

During the trip, Dorit bonded more with newbie Boz and told her details about her split from PK Kemsley. However, Dorit and Kyle once again clashed during dinner in Oceanside, California. And this time, Dorit dragged Erika into the mud with them. So much for being Switzerland, Erika!

Kathy planned a weekend getaway for the ladies with the hope that Kyle and Dorit could heal their relationship. Then, viewers were treated to Kathy’s brand manager, Carol, loading luggage into a convertible Rolls Royce. Each suitcase contains the invitation to Oceanside, along with goodies like self-tanner, a beach towel, and cans of Red Bull. What, no box fan? Anyway, Kathy is personally delivering these goodies so she won’t have to pay to have them delivered. Oh, please!

So, Kathy rolled up to an unsuspecting Boz’s house first. “Why is Kathy Hilton at my front door with a pleated bucket hat on and a suitcase?” Boz remarked in her confessional.

When Kathy arrived at Kyle’s house, she was mulling over redoing some rooms. Since Mauricio moved out, Kyle has been looking for a fresh start. At first, Kyle was reluctant about both Kathy’s pleated hat and the trip. Kyle worried that the vibes would be “weird” with Dorit. Well, duh.

According to Kathy, this BravoCon moment with Dorit wouldn’t have been a blip on Kyle’s radar three years ago. However, now she is “hypersensitive.” Of course, Kyle knows that pretending nothing is wrong won’t work. “Welcome to Kathy’s Hunky Dory holidays,” she said in her confessional.

Mauricio dropped by, and he seemed happy. He signed a six-month lease on his “bachelor” pad. So, with six months to evaluate their relationship, Kyle seemed a bit hopeful. “You live your life, I live my life, and maybe we’ll reconvene in six months or so … and see what happens,” Kyle said in her confessional.

When a producer asked her if she hoped to reconcile with Mauricio, she refused to answer that question. However, the fact that Mauricio purchased new furniture troubles Kyle. Then Mauricio asked if Kyle had spoken to Dorit or her husband, PK. Kyle mentioned that she and PK send each other humorous memes. The way that Kyle dropped that in the conversation seemed weird. Anyway, PK has an apartment.

All of this change is difficult for Kyle. She is no longer a wife, and no longer needed as a hands-on mom with little children. So, who is she now?

Dorit asks Erika for her expert opinion

Dorit and Erika discussed the BravoCon game that has caused Kyle so much angst. As you may remember, Andy Cohen asked Dorit to rate the Richards sisters, from her favorite to her least favorite. Instead, Dorit went to sip her drink, and Kyle swatted it away from her lips, causing it to spill on Dorit. This made Dorit jokingly brand Kyle her least favorite, and Kathy her most. While Erika didn’t believe that Dorit meant to hurt Kyle’s feelings, Dorit replied that Kyle had done many things to Dorit “on purpose.”

For example, Kyle iced out Dorit after Kyle’s fashion show in NYC, and again in Aspen when Dorit defended Erika. Finally, after Dorit sided with Kathy during the Season 12 RHOBH reunion, Kyle didn’t talk to Dorit for six months. As far as Dorit is concerned, Kyle has a pattern of cold behavior, and Dorit isn’t a fan.

As the Beverly Hills ladies arrived at Kathy’s house for the trip, they were greeted by a butler handing out glasses of champagne. And Boz is a fan of how this trip starts! Meanwhile, Jennifer arrived, carrying a Louis Vuitton boat, which is worth a paltry $33,000. And Erika is drooling over all of Jennifer’s accessories.

While in the van, Erika asked Garcelle who was the most famous person that she had dated. She responded, “Eddie Murphy, Will Smith, and Sean Penn.” Now Erika is questioning why Garcelle didn’t marry one of them.

When the ladies arrived, their hotel was next to the house where they filmed Top Gun. Of course, there was a young Tom Cruise lookalike on hand to chat with them. After settling in, the group headed out for a beautiful picnic on the beach. There was also a couch and chairs nearby in the sand, with tables adorned with gorgeous floral arrangements.

During lunch, Dorit told Boz that PK moved to an apartment. Although they had agreed to have open and honest communication for the sake of their kids, PK never told her about the apartment. She found out via text message about PK’s new digs.

Naturally, Boz understood that Dorit felt that she should have been part of the decision. Dorit also called PK’s decision “impulsive” and “not very considerate.” So, same old PK.

After lunch, the ladies divided into teams for a relay race. They had to run holding a paddle with Kathy’s face on it, and then tag the next runner. Boz and Garcelle won, while Dorit fell in the sand. During a rousing game of Duck, Duck, Goose, Dorit once again wiped out. It seems that Dorit and sand do not mix.

    Dorit and Kyle’s feud reignites

Once again, Kyle and Dorit discussed their issues at dinner. Will this group ever have a peaceful meal? In her confessional, Dorit stated that she was ready to tell Kyle “exactly how I feel.” She added, “Until now, I don’t think she’s even cared, let alone understood, the depth of my hurt and pain.” Thankfully, Dorit is bringing it this season.

Once again, Kyle used that BravoCon moment as the reason why she claimed that Dorit “exaggerated” their friendship. Dorit said that BravoCon incident was clearly a joke and that when she showed it to Erika, Erika was also “surprised.”

However, now Kyle added more to the story. She said that it involved a fan who dissed Teddi Mellencamp at BravoCon. While Kyle defended Teddi, Dorit stayed silent. After all, Dorit is also friends with Teddi.

Finally, Kyle said that Dorit showing people the text that Kyle sent her was the last straw. Dorit fired back that Kyle repeatedly brought up how hurt she was by that incident in her press interviews. In exasperation, Kyle exclaimed, “God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason. Can you let me talk?”

Dorit fired back, “It’s okay, Kyle. It’s time for you to f*cking listen.” Erika put her head in her hands as everyone fell silent. Then viewers saw the familiar, “To be continued.” Well, so far, this season is delivering!

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
