Real Housewives of New York Season 15, Episode 4 Recap

Last week’s episode of Real Housewives of New York ended with a blowup fight between Ubah Hassan and Brynn Whitfield. Ubah has steered clear of her former friend this season. She skipped group parties and found alternate transportation to the girls’ trip, but she couldn’t hide from her problems forever. Once she was face-to-face with Brynn in Erin’s hot tub, a fight erupted.

The drama continued in tonight’s episode, titled, “Match Point of No Return.” The women tried to recover from last week’s meltdown and enjoy the remainder of their trip in the Hamptons, but of course, this group can’t function without drama. If you missed the fun, don’t worry, we’ll bring you up to speed.

Here is everything that happened on Season 15, Episode 4 of Real Housewives of New York…

A brief overview of Season 15, Episode 4 of Real Housewives of New York

In tonight’s episode of RHONY, Erin prepared Shabbat dinner for her friends in her Hamptons home. Brynn struggled to adjust after her and Ubah’s big fight. She flirted with the idea of leaving throughout the whole episode. Racquel opened up about her childhood and her difficult relationship with her biological father. Jessel reflected on her fertility journey and her desire to have a daughter. The episode ended with another Brynn and Ubah fight that made their friends uncomfortable.

Keep reading for a more detailed recap of tonight’s episode.

Real Housewives of New York cast play a game of tennis

Tonight’s episode of RHONY began with the women traveling to the tennis courts to sweat out last week’s drama. On the way there, newbie Rebecca spoke about her breastfeeding schedule and the women lamented about the painful struggles of nursing. She recounted a memory in which her need to breastfeed was so strong that she asked her husband to “relieve” her in the bathroom. Ok, well, thanks for sharing?

Once the women arrived at the courts they were greeted by a hunky tennis instructor named Tino. Erin was pumped to play but unfortunately, most of the women were more interested in the cute instructor than the game. It didn’t take long before they ditched their racquets to gossip on the sidelines.

RHONY star Racquel opens up about her past

On the sidelines, Brynn asked Racquel how she pronounces her last name “Chevremont,” which sparked an interesting conversation about the newbie’s background. She revealed that her last name is not her biological father’s nor her mother’s.

She shared that her father is not involved in her life and has rejected her attempts to strengthen the relationship. After one particular harsh rejection, she decided she did not want her last name associated with that man. Initially, she hoped to take her mother’s last name but her mother denied the request because her father was also “an asshole.” Instead, the two of them looked through the family tree until they found a name Racquel felt she could be proud of. Brynn, who also has a complicated relationship with her biological father, felt touched by Racquel’s story.

In a confessional, she shared that her new friend’s story made her feel close to her because they experienced a similar hardship. It was a sweet scene and gave viewers a better idea of who Racquel is and how she got to where she is today.

Back at Erin’s Hamptons house, Brynn is still feeling isolated from the group. She is still not on great terms with Sai and Ubah. She tells Erin she wants to leave but the Hostess convinces her to stick around. Erin is preparing a Shabbat dinner and needs all the ladies on board to help with meal prep. Jenna tries to cheer Brynn up by lending her some of her diamond accessories. The diamonds do the job. Brynn’s smile is back.

Ubah, Sai, and Jessel go to the grocery store to help pick up some ingredients for the big meal. Sai plays a DIY version of the Price Is Right with Jessel and her answers are a bit shocking. It’s clear Jessel isn’t worried about how inflation is affecting her grocery bill. The price of eggs makes Jessel think about her own eggs, whose storage fee is costing her a grand per month. She talks about wanting a daughter and Pavit’s reluctance to expand their pod. I understand Jessel’s desire to have a little girl. I hope Pavit caves lol.

An unlikely guest shows up at Shabbat dinner

Before the ladies sit down to eat, Brynn and Erin meet in one of the bedrooms to discuss the prank they are going to pull on the women. They bought a fake roach and are planning to hide it in Jenna’s dish to gross out the ladies. Love it. Make Real Housewives fun again. Thank you!

The ladies show up dressed to impress. Jenna wears a latex top, Brynn’s dress looks like an art piece, and Racquel wears vagina earrings. Something tells me most Shabbat dinners don’t look like this…

The women question Jenna about her interest in latex and she shares an interesting story about her days exploring NYC sex clubs with an ex. He was a writer for the New Yorker researching a piece about sex clubs in the city. She was an interested companion who accompanied him to some of the city’s raunchiest spots. After the sex club talk ended, it was time for Operation Roach. Jenna’s dish was served and it didn’t take long before the women discovered the unwelcome friend in their food. There was a lot lot of screaming accompanied by Ubah running to the bathroom to throw up. Sai followed behind to offer a helping hand but the sight of puke made her throw up as well.

    Ubah and Brynn’s feud continues…

The next morning, Erin treated the women to breakfast prepared by a chef. She really is keeping those “Erin never has any food” allegations away this season. At breakfast, Ubah announced that she and Brynn made amends the night before. Aw, I love to hear that! Unfortunately, the peace treaty lasted about 30 seconds. The two were back at each other’s throats before anyone finished breakfast Brynn encouraged Ubah to keep calm and “use her words,” which Ubah found very condescending. I’m starting to think this friendship is doomed. Well, there you have it. This week’s episode ended the same as last week. Ubah yelled at Brynn and the rest of the women watched. I’m starting to get a little bored of this feud. I hope they resolve their issues soon, so we can move on to other drama.

If you missed this episode or others, Real Housewives of New York is streaming on Peacock.
