Real Housewives of New York Season 15, Episode 6 Recap

Last week, the Real Housewives of New York cast celebrated Jessel’s birthday. In Real Housewives of New York Season 15, Episode 6, they’re celebrating Erin’s successful Mezcal business. In tonight’s episode, Erin and Abe threw a party to celebrate their business “Mezcalum” and the cast showed up ready to sip on some delicious drinks.

If you missed the fun, don’t worry, we have you covered.

Here is everything you missed on RHONY Season 15, Episode 5, “A Shot of Mess-cal.”

What happened in Real Housewives of New York Season 15, Episode 6?

Real Housewives of New York Season 15, Episode 6 mostly centered around Erin and Abe’s party but some other stuff happened too. Jessel and Pavit decided to go to couples’ therapy, Brynn got to work on her app, and Racquel continued to plan her engagement party. I’ll be so real with you, it was a boring episode for the most part.

Keep reading for a more detailed recap of tonight’s episode:

Erin plans her party and Jessel plans her future

The November 5 episode began with Erin and Abe preparing for their Mezcalum party. The couple launched the brand last year, joining the ranks of other Real Housewives with liquor brands. Erin explained that she and Abe fell in love with the spirit a decade ago during a trip to Tulum, Mexico. She says she wanted to “bring Mezcal to the States.” Uhhhhh. I mean, should you tell her or should I?

While Erin and Abe were party planning, Jessel was getting her nails done with her mom, Nilam. I was so excited to see Jessel’s mom! She’s an icon and I’ve missed her presence on the show.

Jessel spoke to her mom about how she and Pavit are not on the same page about welcoming another baby. Jessel wants to have a daughter but Pavit is not on board. I worry it’s a lost cause. Pavit’s been pretty defiant about not wanting another kid. Maybe he’s worried it will interfere with his food influencer lifestyle. Jessel is not ready to give up hope. She tells her mom she wants to go to couples therapy with Pavit to “improve their communication.” Translation: she wants a third party there, so he can’t dodge the baby conversation.

Racquel opens up about her divorce

Jessel isn’t the only RHONY cast member embarking on a new chapter. Newbie Racquel is about to go public with her engagement to her partner Mel. She spoke about her hesitation during a lunch with Ubah and Sai. She explained that she and her ex-husband kept their breakup on the down low for a while, so when she began dating Mel later down the line, people suspected she had an affair. Then, Racquel said the criticism was hard on her and Mel, especially since none of it was true.

Over in Grammercy Park, Brynn is hard at work on her app, which she says is about “relationships, dating, and flirting.” I think this is a great move for her. If I wanted flirting advice I would definitely go to Brynn. That girl knows her stuff.

In a confessional, she says she is the “co-founder” and “chief marketing officer” for the app. Good for her. Hopefully, those “Brynn doesn’t work” allegations will finally be put to rest now.

Jessel and Pavit address the baby question…

Later on, Jessel and Pavit grab dinner to discuss their communication issues. Jessel wants to talk about baby number three but her husband wants to talk about the quality of the chicken. He’s more interested in his food influencer career. Yeah, they definitely need a partial third party to step in here.

She finally gets him to address the topic and it doesn’t go as she hoped. Pavit is not bending on the baby conversation. Jessel refuses to accept that she won’t have a daughter, so she suggests they go to therapy to discuss their issues with a licensed professional. He eventually agrees but only if he can make the arrangements.

Racquel and Mel also have a tough conversation over a meal. The two grab lunch together after checking out some art and a touchy subject arises. Racquel has been open about her difficult relationship with her mother, who was not very supportive of her coming out. She shares that her mother stopped visiting when she got divorced. She’s upset that her mother cannot accept her reality and her relationship with Mel.

The two talk about the real possibility that her mother will not come to their engagement party. In a confessional, Racquel gets emotional over the topic, sharing that she feels as though she’s lost “some of her [mother’s] love” since coming out. Now this is when these shows shine. When they get super real. Racquel is a fabulous addition; this was so sad, but props to her for sharing.

The RHONY ladies gather at Erin’s party

The last chunk of the episode takes place at Erin and Abe’s party. The women show up in style to celebrate their friend’s success. Erin, per usual, can’t help but engage in a little gossip (love that about her). She tells Ubah and Sai that Brynn was talking a lot of sh*t about them while they were out shopping for Jessel’s Clueless party.

Honestly, she could’ve said more. Brynn called Sai “a miserable troll that lives under the Brooklyn Bridge.” Erin saying she was “talking sh*t” was putting it lightly. Sai doesn’t understand why Brynn is still upset and I agree! I’m so confused why Brynn is so upset with Sai. She’s apologized like 10 times. What more can she do?

Brynn gives the girls the cold shoulder

Brynn arrives at the party and completely ignores the women. Awkward. She bides her time by flirting with Erin’s rich dad, which makes Erin nervous. She’s not looking for a new stepmom. In a confessional, Sai throws shade at Brynn for her flirtatious behavior.

“I don’t know why Brynn’s being weird,” she told producers. “She walks by our table, schmoozing with Erin’s daddy and then she gets upset that there are all these sugar daddy stories. If it walks like a duck…”

Ouch. Yeah, something tells me Brynn is not going to be happy about that.

Brynn finally decides to address her issues and takes a seat at the table. Reader, you may expect that a huge fight erupts but this is not the case. Ubah tries to create conflict with Brynn but it doesn’t go anywhere. Ubah then (out of nowhere) throws a jab at Jessel for being a “basic b*tch.” The whole scene is confusing and I’m unclear about who has beef with who.

I gotta be honest, this season is turning out to be kind of a mess. I want to love it but all the drama seems forced. I’m starting to miss Bethenny Frankel … I hope these ladies pull it together soon and this season takes a turn for the better.

The Real Housewives of New York is available to stream on Peacock.
