RHOA Shamea Morton and Porsha Williams’ Mom Feud — Details

All parents should know that their children are watching and learning from them. Such is the case with The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Stars Porsha Williams and Shamea Morton have been playing a game of Bravo psychological warfare during Season 16. But it seemed both learned to play a bit dirty when it came to fracturing friendships from their childhood. You could say they learned how to be bad friends from their moms…

RHOA’s Shamea Morton hints at family tension between her mom and Porsha Williams’ mother Diane

During one episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Shamea didn’t mince words when it came to expressing concern for her friendship with Porsha. The two have been bickering all season. But fans quickly learned the apples didn’t fall too far from the tree.

During her confessional, Shamea noted that her mother and Ms. Diane Williams had their own falling out while the girls were still in high school. As producers prodded, she went on to explain that the ladies simply had a falling out. According to Shamea, both mamas used to be “two peas in a pod.” But now, both moms are worried that their daughters will be taken advantage of by the other. Sounds familiar, right?

Shamea refused to explain further, but Porsha’s feathers were already ruffled. The mother of one took to her Instagram to shut down Shamea. She wrote a stark warning which read, “Ima just say this. I’m watching the new episode @shameamorton. Now don’t take it there don’t say SH*T about Diane Williams. I’ve been keeping it cute and quiet and you can do and say what you want in me, but hear me when I say WRONG ROAD!”

Needless to say, there is deep history among these four women, and fans want to know every detail.

What happened between the RHOA moms?

It seems just like their daughters, Mama Sarah Morton and Ms. Diane, were once as thick as thieves. But Porsha recently accused Sarah of not being a good friend to her mother.

Blogger, House of Aaron, spilled the tea. He revealed, “Back in 2001, Mama Diane owned two or three daycare centers. Mama Morton also owned a few daycare centers.”  Sadly, this was around 9/11, and at that time, people became fearful of sending their children to child care. The blogger noted, “I have not researched how the daycare business was affected by 9/11. However, what we do know is that Diane’s business was affected shortly after.”

The blogger alleged that the beef started when one of Diane’s centers went into foreclosure. Apparently, Ms. Sarah then bought the business and reopened it as a daycare center. The betrayal!

Aaron noted, “When Mama Diane found out that it was Sarah who bought up the building and started operating her business, her daycare out of it, she was livid. She immediately cut Sarah off.” Honestly, it just seems like business to me, and that Ms. Diane may have cut her nose off to spite her face.

Why are Shamea Morton and Porsha Williams fighting on RHOA Season 16?

It seems the idea of petty feuds has also now come between their daughters. Shamea and Porsha have not been seeing eye to eye as of late.

Many Real Housewives of Atlanta fans feel that P isn’t thrilled that her friend/sidekick took a full-time peach. Shamea has been singing her way into viewers’ hearts. At the same time, Porsha has been pretending not to know that Shamea can sing and shutting her down. Their issues derive from their own definitions of friendship. Shamea feels she has always been a supportive friend, but hasn’t received the same respect in return.

Porsha has missed her wedding, showed up late to her party, and talked badly about Shamea to their shared friend group. Even though they have known one another since high school, it seems as if loyalty is in question.

In all reality, both are being bad friends. Shamea has finally given up taking the high ground and is now acting petty towards P. Even though Shamea has found her voice, she isn’t using it for good. Instead, she’s befriending Porsha’s enemies.

While fans were once hopeful the two could rekindle their magic, it looks like a friendship might not be in the cards for them after all. And you know Ms. Diane is sitting there saying, “I told you so.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is available to stream on Peacock. The show streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
