RHOM’s Lisa Hochstein Defends Being Late

RHOM’s Lisa Hochstein Defends Being Late

On The Real Housewives of Miami, Lisa Hochstein and Stephanie Shojaee got off on the wrong foot when Lisa showed up to an outing nearly two hours late. The cameras rolled as the entire cast sat in a Sprinter, waiting for Lisa to show up.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that we’ve seen Lisa show up late. It’s what you expect from her at this point, but Lisa says she’s innocent this time around. Supposedly, she’s got the messages to prove it.

Lisa Hochstein has “messages to prove” she told RHOM group to leave without her

I actually told everyone I was running way behind with notice and to go without me so they wouldn’t be delayed. I feel bad they chose to wait, but I did offer that clearly, and I have the messages to prove it. #rhom

The drama with Lisa went down during RHOM Season 7 Episode 5. The ladies were in a Sprinter van, waiting to go to Alexia Nepola’s Greek-themed party. They sat there for nearly two hours waiting for Lisa to arrive. When she finally showed up and had a nonchalant attitude about her tardiness, Stephanie let her have it.

“Lisa, do you think our time is more important than all of ours? Or do you think that you’re, like, more valuable?” Stephanie asked. “Are we supposed to, like, elevate your entrance? Did you think of how rude it is to make everybody wait?”

Lisa defended herself in the moment, sparking a full-on feud with the RHOM newbie. Meanwhile, she also defended herself on social media as the episode aired. In a Twitter/X post, she explained that she told her friends in advance she’d be late.

“I actually told everyone I was running way behind with notice and to go without me so they wouldn’t be delayed,” Lisa wrote. “I feel bad they chose to wait, but I did offer that clearly, and I have the messages to prove it. #rhom”

Although some fans applauded Lisa for vindicating herself, a handful of RHOM viewers weren’t impressed. After all, Lisa’s tardiness has been a recurring theme on this show. It’s literally in her tagline this season.

“I say this as a fan … stop defending this behavior and just do better. Doubling down is a bad look. This is not an isolated incident. Your lateness has been a storyline since day 1,” wrote one frustrated viewer.

Another added, “It doesn’t matter. You shouldn’t have been late to begin with. All the other ladies were on time. Why couldn’t you be? You’re always late.”

The Real Housewives of Miami airs on Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON LISA’S PERPETUAL TARDINESS? DO YOU THINK IT WAS JUSTIFIED THIS TIME?
