Robbie Williams denies Glastonbury 2025 secret set, shares list of recommendations

Robbie Williams has denied rumours of a secret set at Glastonbury 2025, but has shared a list of acts to see in his absence.

This morning (June 27), fans became convinced the singer was teasing a performance at the Worthy Farm festival after he shared a picture of a blue plaque that officially marked 30 years since he made headlines for partying with Oasis following his departure from Take That.

The ‘Candy’ singer, who went on to headline the Worthy Farm festival himself in 1998, shared the image of the plaque plastered over a Glastonbury sign in the hospitality area.

Notably, a photo of Williams at the festival in ’95 in his iconic red tracksuit also marks the cover of his upcoming album, ‘Britpop‘, which, combined with the plaque photo, had fans convinced he was one of the many secret sets expected for this weekend.

However, he’s now come out and denied the rumours. “I’m not performing this year,” he clarified. “If you are there go and see – The 1975, Busta Rhymes, Self Esteem, Charli XCX [and] Reverend and the Makers,” he wrote on his Instagram stories.

In recent months, Williams has been embarking on his ‘BRITPOP’ UK tour, bringing out the likes of Lethal Bizzle and Wiley, Five and Self Esteem. According to those at the Glastonbury site, there were also rumours that Williams was set to join the Sheffield singer-songwriter to perform his 2000 track ‘Kids’ on stage.

Speaking on the Robbie Williams Rewind podcast back in 2023, he said he would “slaughter” another Glastonbury performance, explaining: “It’s one of those times and places, and a reimagination of what Robbie Williams is. When you do Glastonbury, perception changes more than any other festival.

He discussed his attendance at the 1995 festival on Instagram last month, too, writing: “It’s very difficult to describe the musical landscape of the time. Coolness had a militancy. Indie had a militancy,” and contrasting: “I was in a boy band.”
