Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is facing a new lawsuit from his former Danity Kane protégé, Dawn Richard. The 43-year-old singer alleges the music mogul groped her without her consent and trapped her inside his Bentley. Richard alleges that she screamed for help and felt “sheer panic” thinking she might never get out.

Court documents obtained by RadarOnline state that Richard filed a lawsuit against the rapper on August 25. She filed the complaint in New York Supreme Court under the city’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Law. She is seeking both compensatory and punitive damages. She has also requested a jury trial.
Richard, a former member of Danity Kane and Diddy-Dirty Money, claimed Combs controlled her work, pay, schedule, and personal freedom. She alleges that Combs repeatedly entered her changing room at Daddy’s House recording studio between 2009 and 2011. Richard said he entered while she was changing and undressed. She also alleges that Combs made sexual advances toward her.
Her latest lawsuit comes after the court dismissed a previous case against Combs on June 15. In that lawsuit, Richard accused him of emotional abuse and manipulation. She originally filed the civil case in September 2024.
The latest legal action comes as Combs remains behind bars. He is serving a 50-month federal prison sentence after facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution. Authorities now list his release date as February 23, 2028. Officials have revised the date four times. They previously set it for April 15, 2028, after moving it up from April 25, 2028. His initial release date was June 4, 2028.
