Southern Charm fans are slamming Austen Kroll’s immaturity in Season 10 of the hit Bravo series. He has always been a manchild but it only seems to be magnified as his co-stars grow up. So, what are viewers saying about Austen? Keep reading for more details.
Fans Slam Austen Kroll’s Immaturity
Austen Kroll has always been slightly immature since he joined Southern Charm in Season 4. He loves to play around with women and is a big kid himself. When he introduced his girlfriend, Madison LeCroy in Season 6, it looked like he was a changed man. She had a son, Hudson and they had a lot of fun together. Hudson loved being around Austen and vice versa. Madison tried to make it work with Austen for some time but eventually, they parted ways. He moved on with Olivia Flowers but that did not work either and things got worse when he kissed Taylor Ann Green.
They were close friends who contemplated a romance but kept it hidden from everyone they knew. When it was finally revealed, everyone was up in arms. It became the betrayal heard around Charleston and the core storyline for Season 9. Entering Season 10, Taylor and Austen both had partners but he missed one of his male partners; his best friend, Craig Conover. Craig is not drinking and has his Sewing Down South business. At the time, he had a girlfriend of three years and his priorities were very different.
Austen Kroll felt that Craig was MIA and not there and missed when they would grab food and hang out. However, Craig thinks Austen just misses having a drinking buddy, adding his priorities have changed:
“Making money, getting healthy, and f*cking my girlfriend, that’s what I want to do.”
After this, a Reddit thread was started to address how immature Austen truly is and how he may never grow up:
- Austen is mad at Craig for living the life of an adult with a real job…He lost me when he said Craig can never hang out when he calls him up randomly.
Team Austen
Although Craig Conover has been working hard on his business and his now-defunct relationship, many Southern Charm fans were on Austen Kroll’s side. They saw that Craig did not have a set work schedule and could take time out of his day to meet with Austen. Therefore, they believed Craig was being a bad friend and Austen was not asking for too much:
- The issue was that Craig didn’t have work scheduled. He told Austen to book a tee time, agreed to it and bailed last minute. He didn’t tell Austen it was for work when he bailed, Austen just logged on Instagram and Craig was gardening.
- no craig was in the wrong here. austen just wants to hang out with his friend and craig was being a d*ck and yelling about how he only cares about making money f*ck that
- Austen is not mad at Craig for living the life on an adult w a job.. Austen is mad at Craig because he stopped valuing their friendship.
Hopefully, they can find a balance because they are great friends with an amazing connection. Now that Craig is single, he will need his friends more than ever.
