Stranger Things Fans Want Jamie Campbell Bower to Play This DCU Villain

Stranger Things Season 5 has fans of the Netflix show wanting Jamie Campbell Bower to play an iconic villain in the DCU.

Bower is known for playing Henry Creel, better known as Vecna, in Netflix’s Stranger Things. All episodes of the popular series are now available to watch on the streaming platform, as the Season 5 finale was just released earlier this week.

Outside of Stranger Things, Bower played Caius in the Twilight Saga movies, while while filmography also includes 2010’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 1, 2013’s The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, 2018’s Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, 2024’s Horizon: An American Saga, and more. He has also been cast in a main role in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3.

Who do Stranger Things fans want Jamie Campbell Bower to play in the DCU?

Following the release of the Stranger Things Season 5 finale, many people on Twitter are saying they want to see Bower cast as Scarecrow/Jonathan Crane in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU.

Yeah after seeing Jamie Campbell Bower’s performance…yeah I need him as DCU Scarecrow. Pronto.

That was my thought immediately when Henry shows up. He’d be a great joker or scarecrow

At this point in time, there’s been no formal announcement about Scarecrow being in the DCU. The character, created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, first appeared in 1941’s World’s Finest Comics #3, is typically a Batman villain; however, he also oftentimes has ties to nefarious organizations such as the Legion of Doom and the Secret Society of Super Villains. Scarecrow was notably played by Cillian Murphy in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight movies, while he’s also been portrayed by Charlie Tahan in Gotham and Vincent Kartheiser in Titans.

It is known that there is a DCU Batman movie, titled The Brave and the Bold, that is in the works. The movie does not yet have a release date, and there’s been no announcement regarding who the antagonist(s) in the film might be.
