Season 18 of The Real Housewives of Orange County showed the fractured friendship between Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge. After Shannon was arrested for a DUI and continued to drink, Tamra was angry at her for not going to rehab. Plus, Tamra was friends with Alexis Bellino, who was dating Shannon’s ex-boyfriend, John Janssen. Of course, Shannon was also not thrilled when John sued her over money he allegedly lent her for a facelift. It all added up to a ton of drama between Alexis, Tamra, and Shannon. What a tangled web!
Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador make amends during Season 18, Episode 20
Before the reunion was filmed, Tamra seemed to be done with her “toxic” friendship with Shannon. Meanwhile, Shannon was sick of Tamra counting her cocktails and keeping a tally. It was hard seeing these RHOC drama queens being vicious. Plus, Alexis was poking at Shannon.
In a sneak peek of Season 18 of RHOC, Episode 20, it looks like the former friends make up. In the clip, Tamra explained that she checked in with Shannon when she found out that Alexis was dating John. “My friendship with Alexis was just between me and Alexis. When I found out that she was dating John, Shannon was the first person I reached out to. I sent you a text message and said, ‘I’m so sorry. I hope you can enjoy your holidays, I know this has to be hard on you,’” Tamra stated.
However, Shannon didn’t get the warm fuzzies from Tamra’s message. “But they had been dating, Tamra, for three weeks. And I knew the moment he met her they would be dating,” Shannon said. “And you told me to grow the f*ck up, amongst other things.”
So, Tamra said that she made those comments because Shannon had been “saying bad things about me.” Then host Andy Cohen entered the conversation, reminding Shannon how Tamra had stood up for her earlier in the episode when they were talking about Alexis and John.
“You saw those videos about John. The stuff he just said in those videos,” Shannon said, while she started to cry. “Really, really difficult. I was squeezing Gina [Kirschenheiter]’s hand so hard I was starting to get sweaty.”
Shannon said of Tamra, “She was acknowledging it. She gave me looks. I know your looks. I appreciate it,” she added. Finally, Shannon stated, “I’m gonna give you a hug right now because it’s just easier. The two women embraced, and Tamra said, “I really miss you.”
