Bravo fans watched Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor’s romance from the beginning. She began appearing on Season 4 of Vanderpump Rules when they first started dating. Viewers watched the couple fight, break up, get engaged, and finally marry. They married in 2019 in a lavish ceremony in Brittany’s home state of Kentucky.
They announced in 2020 that they were expecting their first child. A few months later, Jax and Brittany revealed they were leaving Vanderpump Rules to focus on their growing family. Many Bravo fans speculated that Jax was actually fired from the show.
However, Bravo brought Jax and Brittany back into the fold last year on a brand-new show. They are part of the ensemble cast on The Valley. The show premiered in March 2024. Jax and Brittany announced their separation a month earlier. She officially filed for divorce later that summer.

Jax and Brittany’s entire relationship on Vanderpump Rules was messy. So, it’s no surprise to viewers that their divorce is also messy. Jax came clean earlier this year about his drug addiction after entering rehab. Brittany Cartwright revealed that their son, Cruz, has autism.
While the former couple initially wanted to keep things peaceful for their son, that’s gone out the window in recent months. Season 2 of The Valley exposes the dirty details of their split, and viewers can’t stop watching.
After the separation, Jax Taylor refused to vacate the house, causing Brittany to move out with their son. However, Jax didn’t pay the mortgage, leaving Brittany with the bills when he eventually moved out, and she moved back in.
She Welcomes A New Family
Now that she’s back in her home, Brittany Cartwright decided to add a new member. She already has a full house with her son, Cruz, 4, and two dogs, plus a cat. But the more, the merrier!
She took to Instagram to introduce the latest addition: an adorable puppy named Dolly.
The Valley Star Shades Her Ex In Caption
Brittany Cartwright didn’t miss a chance to throw shade at her ex. She alluded to the battle over the house.
“We just adopted this sweet girl 4 days ago and she’s as sweet as pie! Looks like this ‘woman’ can take care of her house, her beautiful son, 3 dogs, and a cat… All on her own,” she wrote in the caption.
Her shady response is a direct hit back at a statement Jax recently made on The Valley. He thinks Brittany should put the home they bought on the market now that he’s not living there.
“No woman needs a five-bedroom house [with] seven baths. You are a woman with a child. Get something like a three-bedroom that’s manageable as a woman,” Jax said to Jesse Lally about the house.
