New faces will be on The View soon. The ABC talk show finally shared details about Alyssa Farah Griffin’s upcoming departure. Fans of the show are more than ready for a shocking showdown between a guest host and moderator Whoopi Goldberg. Keep reading for all the details.
The View Reveals Alyssa Farah Griffin’s Departure Date
Alyssa Farah Griffin announced live on The View in October that she was pregnant with her first child. She married Justin Griffin in 2021 in Vero Beach, Florida. The talk show host was open about her struggles to conceive. She’s expecting a baby boy sometime this month.

Viewers have been wondering for months how the show would handle her temporary departure. We finally have an answer. Beginning on Tuesday, February 17, a rotating slew of guest co-hosts fill in for Alyssa Farah Griffin. The network announced six co-hosts for now. Alyssa Farah Griffin’s return date isn’t set yet. It depends on how long she’s on maternity leave.
Savannah Chrisley Issues Warning To Co-Hosts
Reality TV star Savannah Chrisley is among the guest co-hosts filling in for Alyssa Farah Griffin. She reportedly co-hosts the entire week, starting on February 17. The network bringing her on as co-host is somewhat surprising, as the hosts had a harsh reaction to the news that President Trump granted pardons to Savannah Chrisley’s parents in 2025.
Todd and Julie Chrisley were serving prison sentences after being found guilty of bank fraud and other charges in 2022. They were released from prison after a little over two years. Savannah Chrisley issued a warning to the hosts of The View.

She wrote on social media that she was excited to host the daytime show. However, not all is forgiven. “Let me be clear: I have not forgotten the public bashing of my family by some of these same voices. Grace does not require amnesia,” she wrote on social media.
Fans Ready For Guest Host Showdown With Whoopi Goldberg
Several of the other guest co-hosts are controversial as well. Former host Elisabeth Hasselbeck returns a year after publicly bashing Joy Behar and calling The View a “sinking ship.” Controversial comedian Whitney Cummings is also guest co-hosting.
Abby Huntsman, Amanda Carpenter, and Sheryl Underwood round out the guest hosts. The View fans took to social media to share their excitement to see one guest co-host go head-to-head with Whoopi Goldberg. One fan took to Reddit to share their excitement.
- “Some of us already seen how good she was on The Talk, so I think this will be interesting. I can’t wait to see how she and Whoopi would be reacting to each other!”

Sheryl Underwood co-hosted CBS’s The Talk for 13 seasons before it was abruptly canceled in 2024. Other daytime talk show fans shared their thoughts on her stint on The View.
- “She’s hilarious and very bright. She’ll do great. Also, years ago, long before the talk, Sheryl was a guest in Joy’s comedy corner. She had all of the hosts cracking up. You can find the clip on YouTube”
- “She’ll hold her own. Smarter than you think.”
- “Sheryl’s moment on The Talk with Sharon Osbourne, who really went at her hard, was as compelling as anything I’ve ever seen on a talk show.”
A surprising number of viewers hoped that Marjorie Taylor Greene would be one of the hosts replacing Alyssa Farah Griffin. There’s a chance she could be among future guest co-hosts. Tell us in the comments what you think about the co-hosts ABC chose.
