Trump Tells Netflix To Fire Board Member Susan Rice Or Else

Susan Rice has had a prominent career in politics, but she is also known for being on the board of directors for Netflix. However, she recently became a topic of discussion on social media over news concerning the company. One figure getting involved in the conversation is President Donald Trump.

Susan Rice Was Appointed To Netflix’s Board Of Directors In 2018

Rice is a former diplomat and public official who served as the 27th U.S. ambassador to the United Nations from 2009 to 2013. She also served as the 23rd U.S. national security advisor.

The Washington D.C.-native has also had quite a few prominent private sector positions over the years. Notably, in 2018, she was appointed to the board of directors at Netflix.

However, Rice has found a critic in the current U.S. president, Donald Trump. Taking to Truth Social, the social media platform he helped launch, he called on Netflix to fire her.

In his share, Trump included a screenshot of a post shared by Laura Loomer, itself responding to Rice’s Thursday appearance on the Stay Tuned with Preet podcast with Preet Bharara. During Loomer’s post, she wrote that Rice claims corporations that took “a knee to Trump” will face consequences from Democrats should they win the 2026 midterms.

Trump Previously Said He Wouldn’t Get Involved With The Merger

Loomer also criticized the potential Netflix-Warner Bros. merger. She noted that, should it be approved, “positive messaging of the Democrats’ upcoming witch hunts against Trump” would dominate streaming services.

Loomer further claimed that the merger could cause a “streaming monopoly.” She then called on President Donald Trump to “kill” the upcoming merger.

Trump previously discussed the merger during his interview with NBC News‘ Tom Llamas earlier this month. At the time, he shared that he felt that he shouldn’t get involved.

In his own post, President Trump wrote, “Netflix should fire racist, Trump Deranged Susan Rice, IMMEDIATELY, or pay the consequences. She’s got no talent or skills – Purely a political hack! HER POWER IS GONE, AND WILL NEVER BE BACK.”

The commander-in-chief then asked, “How much is she being paid, and for what??? Thank you for your attention to this matter. Trump signed off the post, writing, “President DJT.”
