The Season 7 cast for the hit TLC reality series, Unexpected, has just been revealed, and viewers are shocked. They are upset about a few key details, but are excited that the show is returning sooner rather than later. Keep reading for all that is known about the premiere.
Unexpected Season 7 Cast, Premiere Date Revealed
Fans have been waiting a year and a half for a new season of Unexpected to arrive. There is often a big gap between the seasons, which can lead viewers to question if the show will return. As the new season was being cast, show alum Jenna Ronan shared that she would not be back. She had spent three seasons on the series and had two sons, but the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina resident seemed to be moving on. Now, Unexpected has returned, and with some twists. The first is that it is an all-new cast; none of the old cast is back in any capacity.
Additionally, there is a thirteen-year-old father-to-be named Hunter. He and his girlfriend, Bella, are getting ready to be parents, but this has turned their whole world around. No one wants this to put Hunter’s schooling in jeopardy, yet he is about to be a dad. Their ages are an issue, given that Hunter is still in middle school, but there are also other couples to contend with. Isabella and Bryce are eighteen, while Amya and Jose are sixteen years old, as are Mia and Jessie. Allegedly, Amya did not think it was so easy for “bigger” women to get pregnant, but that is not true.
Every season of Unexpected is new and exciting, yet TLC promises quite the adventure per its press release:
“From baby showers, to births, to unexpectedly difficult decisions, grandparents step in, opinions collide and tensions rise as everyone pushes for what they believe is best for the baby.”
Fans have a lot of feelings going into the new season, which will premiere on February 16th. They are upset that there are no returning cast members and are shocked that someone is thirteen. That seems to be the breaking point for viewers, but they will still watch.
A Crazy Season Ahead
After seeing the trailer, Unexpected fans were ready for February to come so that they could see the craziness that would ensue. They immediately headed to TLC’s social media to share their thoughts and comments on Season 7:

- The only thing this can do is normalize and reward being pregnant at 13-16. Please stop.
Many shared that they had thirteen-year-olds and were using the show as a cautionary tale. Hopefully, this season can teach a lot and be a good tool, but time will tell.
