What Miley Cyrus Did the Moment Cops Showed Up at Halsey’s Party

What Miley Cyrus Did the Moment Cops Showed Up at Halsey’s Party

Halsey is looking back on a chaotic house party that took an unexpected turn when police officers arrived at her front door. The singer recently shared the story during a podcast appearance, revealing that while she was busy debating local ordinances with officers, Miley Cyrus had already decided it was time to make a speedy exit.

The image of Cyrus fleeing with a bag of takeout in hand might be the most relatable celebrity party moment of the year.

Miley Cyrus was ready to leave Halsey’s party while she spoke to the cops

During an appearance on the “Friends Keep Secrets” podcast, Halsey recalled hosting a housewarming party shortly after purchasing a new home. What started as a typical celebrity gathering quickly became memorable when police showed up and asked to speak with the homeowner. That homeowner happened to be Halsey.

The “Without Me” singer admitted she had been drinking when officers informed her they wanted the party shut down. Instead of ending the night immediately, she decided to challenge their reasoning.

According to Halsey, she began listing all the ways the gathering was operating within the rules. She argued the party wasn’t violating noise restrictions, exceeding occupancy limits, or creating parking issues in the neighborhood.

When officers reportedly told her she was violating “the law of common sense,” Halsey wasn’t convinced. “That’s not a real law,” she recalled responding before ending the conversation. The funniest part of the story came moments later.

As Halsey walked back toward the house, she spotted Miley Cyrus making a swift retreat. “Miley Cyrus is running out the door,” Halsey said on the podcast. The singer remembered Cyrus carrying a bag of Postmates while repeatedly telling her, “Got to go, girl. Got to go.”

The mental picture alone had podcast hosts laughing. Elsewhere in the conversation, Halsey reflected on her early years in Hollywood and compared herself to Jay Gatsby. Despite hosting parties, she admitted she often spent much of the night hiding away from the crowd.

“I would throw a party, I’d hang out in my bedroom most of the time,” she said, joking that she viewed surviving the social event as an accomplishment.

TELL US – WOULD YOU HAVE STAYED AT THE PARTY OR LEFT WITH MILEY CYRUS?
