The André Øvredal-directed horror pic Passenger will now go on May 22, 2026, over Memorial Day weekend, instead of May 29.
The movie starring Melissa Leo, Jacob Scipio and Lou Llobell will now join the competitive yet heavily trafficked weekend that already includes Disney/Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian and Grogu, Neon’s Boots Riley comedy I Love Boosters which world premiered last night at SXSW, and Black Bear’s limited release of its Dustin Hoffman-Leo Woodall heist pic Tuner.

Paramount currently holds the best domestic opening so far this year with the Spyglass co-production Scream 7, which also hit a franchise high with $63.6 million. Its global opening was also a franchise best at $97.2M.
