Why Gina Kirschenheiter & Travis Mullen Moved Back in Together

Why Gina Kirschenheiter & Travis Mullen Moved Back in Together

As The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 premieres, life has changed for Gina Kirschenheiter. Since last we saw her, not only does Gina have a new house, but she and boyfriend Travis Mullen are again cohabiting.

In a clip for the premiere, Gina explains that she and Travis “made the decision to move back in together.” In Season 18, she had asked him to move out, due to issues with his ex-wife which affected their family. They still remained a couple, though, and even launched themselves as a real estate team.

But after realizing she was “making my decisions out of fear,” Gina decided to take her life back.

Gina reveals the “real issue” with boyfriend Travis

During Season 18, Gina made the heartbreaking decision to ask Travis to move out with his three children. The excuse was that they needed more space for the kids as they were getting older. But in reality, the issues with Travis’ ex were the problem.

“Last year, it was very easy to say, ‘Oh, we can’t afford something together,’” she says in a show confessional. “[But] that wasn’t the real issue.”

Meanwhile, following a “life-changing” trip to Bali, Gina describes feeling “so connected to the wind” and seeing “so many signs” pointing her in the right direction.

After previously squeezing Travis and their combined six kids into a three-bedroom duplex, the family is now in a new 2,800 square-foot, five-bedroom house. In a flashback from their move-in day, Gina tells Travis, “Oh my god, it’s so echo-y. Do you hear that? It’s square footage!”

When bestie Emily Simpson popped in to see the new pad, even she remarked, “It feels so big!” The space is not quite complete, however. Gina admits that the home is in its “camping chic” era, awaiting the arrival of a new couch.

“Clearly, Gina has her head on straight now about Travis,” Emily notes in a confessional. “But she can’t kick him out again. I feel like one time, that’s it. If she does it again, he’s gone.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 premieres on July 10 on Bravo in the US, streaming on Peacock the next day. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
