WWE Star Targets Tom Brady for RKO: ‘He’d Be at Top of the List’

WWE Star Targets Tom Brady for RKO: ‘He’d Be at Top of the List’

Randy Orton has added a surprising name to his “RKO list.” After Tom Brady referred to WWE as “cute” during a recent podcast appearance, the 14-time world champion responded with a playful warning. Orton now says that the seven-time Super Bowl winner is someone he would love to hit with his signature move.

Tom Brady called out by WWE superstar Randy Orton

The exchange kicked off when Tom Brady joined Logan Paul on his podcast. They talked about the upcoming Fanatics Flag Football Fest in Saudi Arabia. Brady amped up the banter and brushed aside Paul’s athletic background. When the WWE superstar brought up his wrestling experience and high-flying moves, Brady shrugged it off. He said WWE is “cute,” but added that flag football is “real football with real competition.”

That line did not go over well with wrestling fans. Orton later responded during a show appearance, where he mentioned that he watched the podcast clip and heard Brady call pro wrestling “cute.” Orton joked that he has never met Brady but would love to, just to hit him with an RKO. He added that the quarterback would be on “top of the list,” and laughed as he said it.

For those outside the wrestling bubble, the RKO is Randy Orton’s signature finisher. He jumps, hooks his opponent’s head, and slams it into the mat in one smooth motion. The move exploded online in 2014, thanks to viral clips calling it “outta nowhere.” The name also plays off his initials, Randal Keith Orton. Over the years, the multi-time champion has dropped plenty of big names with it. He has planted rivals like John Cena, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Brock Lesnar with that sudden strike.

Fans quickly chimed in online. Some joked, “7 rings can’t protect you from an RKO outta nowhere.” Others defended Brady, writing, “Why are we acting like Tom wasn’t getting hit by 300+ pound linemen?” Another viral post read, “Brady calling wrestling ‘cute’ and now Orton wants to RKO him, this content writes itself.” However, not everyone agreed, as one comment said, “Why are we pretending wrestling is real?? Sure, these guys get hurt doing what they do, but it’s completely fake and scripted.”
