Carrie Underwood Recently Spoke Well Of Harper During A Recent Share
Harper is set to appear on June 2 as part of the Opry’s massive “Summer of the Century” celebration during CMA Fest week. She will reunite with Carrie Underwood, who also started her career as a contestant on American Idol after returning as a judge.
The Opry’s “Summer of the Century” celebration is part of the venue’s 100th anniversary festivities. Fans will see a lineup of concerts and events throughout the summer. Other performers scheduled to perform include Flatland Cavalry, Jordan Davis, Deana Carter, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Maddox Batson.
As noted by Parade, on June 10, there will also be an Opry 100 Honors: Don Williams tribute concert. This will feature performers like Keith Urban, Trisha Yearwood and Rodney Crowell. Later, on June 28, the Opry will host the “Opry Celebrates ’90s Country” event. Besides the concerts, the Opry will feature backstage tours and a free Outdoor Concert Series on Fridays and Saturdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.
Meanwhile, Underwood has recently shared that she already sees a lot of herself in Harper. Speaking with Gold Derby, she recently shared, “I definitely see myself in her quite a bit. She’s just relatable. I think that’s why people voted for her. They see a mom who’s juggling just like everybody else.”
“Her family’s been out here the whole time. I know she’s coming to rehearsals and going home and making dinner. A lot of respect to her for already figuring that out.”
