Andy Cohen defended Phaedra Parks after Pinky Cole accused her of involving Bravo executives in their drama
Andy Cohen defended Phaedra Parks during the RHOA Season 17 reunion.
During part two of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, Parks said, “If I wanted to go to the higher-ups, I really would’ve went to them.”
Cohen responded, “I’ve known this woman for many years. If she really wanted to make a thing, she would’ve called me, or she would’ve called someone in New York. And she didn’t.”
Pinky Cole, meanwhile, said that she wanted to make it clear that she was “no threat to anybody in this group” and that she “wouldn’t hurt a fly.”
According to Bravo TV, the feud started when Parks and Cole were in a heated exchange about Cole’s business losses. Parks questioned Cole’s description of bankruptcy as “a positive thing**.”** She also said, “All you do in this group is brag and give everybody your ideas.”
The rift later expanded into their “meat-gate” controversy. Fans blamed Parks for accusing Cole, the Slutty Vegan owner, of secretly eating meat. However, Kelli Potter made the comment. Potter and Shamea Morton Mwangi later apologized. Parks said Cole never apologized for blaming her.
Andy Cohen supported Parks after claims that she involved Bravo executives in the dispute. During the Season 9 reunion, cast members identified Parks as the source of allegations involving Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker. The controversy contributed to her departure.
Despite the heated exchange, the two RHOA stars moved forward. Cole later said they were fine and had spent time together away from the cameras.
