Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Episode 14 Recap

Welcome back, land lovers! It is time for our Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Episode 14 recap at “The Circus.” Last week, Mother Nature threatened to ruin a circus-themed dinner service, sending the yachties flying around the deck to salvage whatever they could. Similarly, the storm brewing in the interior department kicked into high gear, which Captain Jason is still trying to help sort. This problem, however, will likely never get remedied, thanks to the events that transpired this week. Here is a breakdown of everything that happened on Below Deck Down Under Season 3, Episode 14.

What happened in Below Deck Down Under Season 3 Episode 14?

The crew throws off a hysterical circus-themed evening, pleasing their guests and earning one of their highest tips yet. Keeping on this high, Tzarina and Alesia are still at peace, but their truce feels fake to Lara. Growing frustrated with Lara, Tzarina pulls Captain Jason back into their argument. But Lara clams up and exits, causing Captain Jason to follow her into her cabin for a pep talk. His words, however, might have fallen on ears that are already far too over it to care.

As the sky darkens and the wind howls overhead, the yachties struggle to reposition their circus dinner to the interior. Once this task finishes, they enter the fray dressed to match the theme, including Captain Jason. Meanwhile, Tzarina is thrilled to create this whimsical meal, but as her costars gather for pictures, which she takes, her insecurities return to the forefront of her mind. Thankfully, the guests love her meal, and I officially love Nic, whose voice could likely sell me anything.

Tzarina, however, feels less pleased with Lara. As Nic and the crew perform their tricks for the guests, Lara misses several radio attempts from Tzarina. Therefore, the timing gets thrown off in the galley after Bri steps up to help, mistakenly telling Tzarina she has five to seven minutes to plate her next course. After only one and a half minutes, however, Lara and Bri return to the galley, where Tzarina tells them they can wait since their communication has failed during this service.

Marina remains on service detail, thanks to Captain Jason. Meanwhile, Bri is in housekeeping and growing weary after being pulled in every direction. Alesia is also struggling. She needs to clean the crew mess daily, but doing so would mean forgoing her only break in the day.

Tzarina heads to bed while Alesia remains in the galley cleaning up. Lara enters, where Alesia informs her that she cannot clean the crew mess. Lara understands, but she is not pleased. Downstairs, Bri is overwhelmed, crying to Tzarina about feeling exhausted with her responsibilities.

Tzarina comforts Bri. Several beats later, Lara talks to Bri. Bri is no longer sad. She is moving past her feelings, she explains.

Tzarina and Alesia are perky and happy in the galley, preparing the last breakfast for their fun-loving guests. Lara enters and asks Alesia if she cleaned the crew mess that morning. Tzarina interjects, explaining to Lara that if Alesia takes on this responsibility, she will not have any breaks in the day. As Lara pushes back, Tzarina stands with ten toes down, telling Lara that someone in her department can handle this task.

Lara remains stuck, demanding compliance from Tzarina. Tzarina refuses, informing Lara that she will speak with Captain Jason later. Tzarina comforts Alesia, telling her she is good.

Breakfast service begins, but when Tzarina calls for service help, Lara looks at Bri, quipping that Tzarina is pissing her off. One of the dishes is piping hot. Lara tells Tzarina that she cannot serve it, or the guests might burn themselves. Tzarina fights back, explaining that the guests will not touch the hot bowls, only the food within, so Lara needs to calm down.

“Fucking bitch,” Tzarina mutters. “Now you’re being a dickhead,” Lara replies. Tzarina yells, telling Lara everything is her fault, as she came in late that morning for work. Lara appears shocked, telling Tzarina she has “no right to say that,” as Captain Jason overhears, sighing.

Lara leaves, flustered. Tzarina giggles, admitting to Alesia that Lara was not that late. She only said that to “wind her up,” Tzarina reveals.

Lara finds Bri, filling her in on what Tzarina said. Bri is shocked. Then, their eyes grow big as Tzarina radios for Captain Jason, asking him for a moment of his time. “Bring it on,” Lara says.

Meeting her boss on the bridge, Tzarina admits she needs advice because Lara cannot accept the word no. Below, Lara reveals to Bri that Tzarina got fired on their last boat. In her confessional, Lara adds that their skipper hated her food and negativity, so he had no choice but to cut Tzarina loose.

However, Tzarina tells a different story in her interview. Lara often poached her assistant chef for tasks. Things became so awful between them that Tzarina left the boat on her own accord. Back in her confessional, Lara suggests that Tzarina will likely try to spin her exit in a manner just like she did.

Nevertheless, Captain Jason says he will help. During docking, Harry trains Adair on the chains, which get stuck. Captain Jason radios for an update, but Harry is too busy to answer. Captain Jason is not happy, he states.

The guests depart, leaving a gigantic tip. Harry receives the disco ball helmet, which he takes in good-natured stride. At the end of their tip meeting, Captain asks Lara and Tzarina to stay put for a chat. Captain Jason wants them to air things out, but Lara shuts him down, excusing herself from the room.

Captain Jason follows Lara to her cabin. Lara tells Captain Jason that she is mad at Tzarina for suggesting she was late on shift. She also reveals that Alesia used to cry about Tzarina to her, but now, Alesia and Tzarina are “all lovey-dovey,” which feels fake to Lara. Captain Jason listens, imploring Lara to show grace.

The crew prepares for a night out. Alesia tells Bri that Tzarina made up the late-to-work narrative to tick Lara off. Bri hates this.

As they head to a restaurant, Marina playfully kisses Nic. Once there, Lara orders something with a funky name. Trying to make conversation, Tzarina jokes about how hard this word is to say. Lara refuses to bite, choosing instead to ice Tzarina out.

The boys head to the bathroom for a hysterical bathroom chat session. Here, Nate admits that he likes Alesia. Nic encourages Nate to get out on the dance floor and “cut some shapes,” which Alesia might respond to.

At the table, Bri tells Lara she needs to tell her something, so they also head to the bathroom. Once they are out of earshot of the table, Bri tells Lara that Tzarina purposely lied about her being late that morning. Lara is upset, suggesting she can no longer trust Tzarina.

Tzarina cries to Harry about Lara. She notes that she feels left out and hated. Harry does his best to comfort Tzarina as the credits roll on BDDU Season 3, Episode 14.

Below Deck Down Under continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo. BDDU also streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT BELOW DECK DOWN UNDER SEASON 3 EPISODE 14? DO YOU THINK LARA AND TZARINA CAN MAKE PEACE?
