Andrew and Tristan Tate face scrutiny in new Investigation Discovery docuseries
The series’ official description, as reported by Variety, reads, “As Andrew Tate built a global following of millions with content promoting wealth, health, male dominance and misogyny, his rise drew both devoted fans and mounting allegations. The docuseries offers a comprehensive look at the story that has dominated headlines, featuring unprecedented access to male followers, insiders, alleged survivors, investigative journalists, and an extensive Tate archive, to explore how the lines between aspiration and exploitation became blurred.”
Julian P. Hobbs, Elli Hakami, and Adrian Murray directed and produced the upcoming docuseries. The series will examine allegations of abuse, sexual assault, and sex trafficking involving the controversial influencer. It will also investigate allegations surrounding the business ventures that allegedly helped fund his global empire. Andrew built that empire alongside his brother, Tristan Tate.
The docuseries will explore how the Tate brothers recruited male followers and built their webcam business. It will also examine their controversial “PhD” (Pimping Hoes Degree) course. The course allegedly taught men how to pressure women into joining the webcam industry. The series will feature interviews with former followers and associates of the brothers.
Andrew and his brother remain involved in ongoing legal proceedings. The Tate brothers, who hold dual U.S. and British citizenship, were arrested in Miami in July following an extradition request from British authorities. They have yet to appear in a British court to formally answer the charges against them. These include rape and trafficking for sexual exploitation. The brothers also face legal proceedings in Romania involving similar allegations. Both have denied wrongdoing.
