‘Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune’ Delayed Until 2025, Details

‘Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune’ Delayed Until 2025, Details

Celebrity Wheel of Fortune has now been delayed from October 14th, 2024 until 2025. That means diehard fans will have to wait even longer to see Pat Sajak’s final spin. This is disheartening for those who do not care for Ryan Seacrest, who Pat passed the torch for Season 42. So, why has this happened? Keep reading for more details.

Celebrity Wheel Of Fortune Delayed Until 2025

Fans were thrilled to learn that Pat Sajak would be back for one more spin on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. When he announced he would be leaving WoF at the end of Season 41, there were mixed emotions. Some felt he had gotten bitter and angry while others could not see the game show with another host. Ryan Seacrest was soon named as his replacement and, again, mixed feelings. He has hosted everything from Live! With Kelly to American Idol to his own radio show to Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

It was the perfect fit as he was more than suited for the job. Still, he will take some getting used to as will the new set that he and Vanna White are on. It is a throwback but too bright and busy for some who say that it is a migraine waiting to happen. The one positive out of all of it was that Pat would be returning for a final spin when he helmed the celebrity version of Wheel of Fortune. It allows celebs to play for their favorite charities and they can bring home one million dollars.

Sadly, the show will not go on as scheduled. It was supposed to start airing on Monday, October 14th, 2024. Now, that is not happening, according to TV Insider. It will now premiere in 2025 and all because of one reason: Monday Night Football. That has pushed back a handful of game shows, per the press release:

“’Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,’ ‘Press Your Luck’ and ABC News’ ‘Scamanda’ will premiere in 2025.”

The network noted that they added “six Monday Night Football simulcasts to its previously announced schedule.” Therefore, the season will begin next year rather than Monday night.

    Special Guests

The episodes were filmed on the new set so that will be interesting to see old and new worlds collide. As for the Celebrity Wheel of Fortune contestants, Pat Sajak and Vanna White have some amazing people joining them. Coming to the show in 2025 include Rainn Wilson, Ellie Kemper, and Oscar Nuñez of The Office. New Girl stars Josh Gad, Justin Long, and Rachael Harris. Sam Richardson, Randall Park, and Matt Walsh of Veep. Additionally, Tiffany Haddish, Regina Hall, Joe Manganiello, Katharine McPhee, Andrew Rannells, Pete Holmes, and Cameron Brink.

Are you bummed the show won’t air this year or are you okay with waiting until 2025? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
