Dancing can look beautiful, but the pros know all too well that beauty comes with pain. Recently, fans saw Emma Slater return as Dancing with the Stars released a new season. However, she has since shared a shocking injury with fans, complete with a bit of a warning.

Emma Slater & Dancing with the Stars Recently Returned For Season 35

Slater is a professional dancer known for her work with Dancing with the Stars. In 2012, she joined the series during the fourteenth season. Initially a troupe member, she was announced as a pro dancer for Season 17 the following year.

Recently, fans saw Slater return to the competition series for Season 35. This time, she was paired with Savannah Bananas second baseman Jackson Olson.

In a recent share on social media, Slater revealed that she’s been dealing with an injury while rehearsing for the show. She prefaced the video with a warning, “Don’t watch if you squirm easy!!!”

Slater then told viewers, “For people who want to do Dancing With the Stars and they want to experience it, something you should know, if you do Dancing With the Stars, this could happen.”

Fans Also Had A Few Stories To Share With Slater On Social Media

She then showed a gruesome object to the camera. She shared, “Do you know what this is? This is my toenail. It’s not a fake toenail. This is my actual toenail.”

Slater then began to detail what happened. As she explained, “I had to peel that off just now because it was flip-flopping like a cat door.” She noted, “You can imagine what my toe looks like without this being on it. It’s not cute.”

Of course, Slater is a pro and is used to the less glamorous aspects when it comes to hitting the stage. With Slater’s share on social media, fans have also been expressing words of comfort to her. A few shared that they could relate, even if they weren’t necessarily dancers themselves. Some comments included:

    • “Oh no! This just happened to me while we were at @waltdisneyworld. I had never lost one before and it was gross!”
    • “Emma, I felt that pain through the screen. I once lost a toenail too, and walking around like nothing happened was a whole struggle. But honestly, your hair looks so beautiful, and that bracelet is such a cute touch!”
    • “I noticed you had tape on them the other day. I was wondering if your shoes had been rubbing. I’ve never lost one from dancing (but I don’t dance near as much as you.)”
    • “OMG! You never mentioned it! I would have been showing everyone.”

What is your reaction to Emma Slater’s recent share? Have you been following this story? Are you keeping up with Dancing with the Stars? Make sure you come back to TV Shows Ace for all the latest reality TV and celebrity news.
