Fans are curious about the release schedule of the list of movies coming to theaters for Studio Ghibli Fest 2024. Here are all the movies that will play in theaters during the event along with when they’re playing.

Here are all the movies that will be released as part of Studio Ghibli Fest 2024.

- Spirited Away (April 27th – May 1)
- Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind 40th Anniversary (May 19 and May 21)
- Castle In The Sky (May 20 and May 22)
- The Secret World of Arriety (June 9 and June 11)
- When Marnie Was There 10th Anniversary (June 10 and June 12)
- Princess Mononoke (July 13 – 17)
- Ponyo (August 3 – 7)
- Whisper of the Heart (August 25 and August 27)
- The Cat Returns (August 26 and August 28)
- Howl’s Moving Castle 20th Anniversary (September 26 – October 3)
- Kiki’s Delivery Service 35th Anniversary (October 26 – 30)
- Pom Poko 30th Anniversary (November 24 and November 26)
- The Tale of the Princess Kaguya (November 25 and November 27)
- My Neighbor Totoro (December 7 – 11)
The Studio Ghibli Fest will take place for nearly the whole year. It will start on April 27th, 2024, with the re-release of Spirited Away in theaters, and conclude on December 11th, 2024, the last day that My Neighbor Totoro will be shown in theaters. Theaters will play both dubbed and subbed versions of the films on different dates. This will be primarily during the 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM local Japanese time slots.
As per reports, this year’s Studio Ghibli Fest is the result of a partnership between GKIDS and Fathom Events.
The aforementioned film line-up celebrates the work of not just Hayao Miyazaki, who is fresh off of his recent Oscar win for The Boy and the Heron. It also celebrates the work of other prominent Studio Ghibli directors such as Yoshifumi Kondo, Hiroyuki Morita, and Hiromasi Yonebayashi.
