The only thing more confusing than Teresa Giudice’s tax situation is the back-and-forth between Bethenny Frankel and Gia Giudice. The margarita connoisseur has been going back and forth with the Real Housewives of New Jersey daughter on social media.
On top of that, a fake quote of Bethenny slamming Gia went viral, making the situation even more complicated. Either way, Gia just made it very clear that she doesn’t want Bethenny weighing in on her family’s money drama.
The original comments from Bethenny arrived right after the headlines about Teresa and Luis Ruelas’ million-dollar text debt. Like most of us, Bethenny was shocked that Teresa could end up in another money crunch, especially since she was so adamant about not signing a prenup with Luis.
After that mild criticism, Gia took to her podcast to clap back at Bethenny and everyone else gossiping about her family’s money issues. That prompted a troll on the internet to make a fake quote of Bethenny dragging Gia.
Although it was the made-up quote that went viral, Bethenny did end up addressing Gia in a subsequent TikTok video. She called Tre’s daughter “ill-advised” on the subject.
“One of the daughters did say that she didn’t like that the father made the mother sign a prenup,” Bethenny recalled, referencing a moment on Watch What Happens Live between Gia, Tre, and Andy Cohen.
“She’s just ill-advised and not educated on this topic,” Bethenny continued. “She just doesn’t know. And hopefully she’ll realize when she one day gets married, if that’s something she wants, that it’s about being financially literate.”
With that in mind, People recently asked Gia for her input on the ongoing back-and-forth. She accused Bethenny of trying to “gaslight” her and doubled down on her criticism of the RHONY alum.
“I was sticking up for my family, and you can love me or hate me for it, but I will do that all day, every day,” Gia said. “And I’m honestly just over talking about it. There’ll be a new thing next week, and I think she should just leave it at that, too.”
She continued, “I have three younger sisters who I’m trying to protect as well, and they don’t need to see all of this in the public eye either.”
