‘Golden Bachelor’ Mel Owens & Peg Munson Shocking Update

The Golden Bachelor Season 2 finale is set to air on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025. That being said, fans are placing bets as to whom Mel Owens will choose. Will it be feisty Peg Munson or sweet Cindy Cullers? After all is said and done, many feel that no one is a winner when it comes to Mel. Yet, what is the twist when it comes to the former football player and Peg? Keep reading for more details and some spoilers ahead.

Mel Owens & Peg Munson Shocking Update

    *This section contains spoilers*

This season of The Golden Bachelor has not been so well-received. Before it even began, fans were angered by the lead, Mel Owens. He made some rude comments about what he wanted in a woman and how he preferred younger ladies. That set off viewers and even those vying for his heart who confronted him day one. They wanted him to own up to what he had said, and he did. Since then, he has done his best to prove he is not a shallow or rude person, but the stigma has been hard to break. Now, the finale is ahead, and Mel will make one woman his fiancée. He will choose between Cindy Cullers and Peg Munson, with many believing he has chosen the former.

In a twist, Mel has allegedly picked Peg after dumping Debbie Siebers after the hometown dates. He took Peg and Cindy to the fantasy suites, but only one stole his heart in the end. However, it appears that this romance may end as quickly as it began. Someone from production claims that Mel and Peg are struggling and that they have already canceled a weekend away. It all has to do with their vastly different personalities:

“Mel and Peg are already having problems. She’s a social butterfly and loves to be extroverted and outgoing. He can hang, but he’s much more demure. She’s go, go, go, and he’s calm and slower paced. He prefers nights at home, and she prefers nights on the town.”

This was one of the things that they clicked on during a Golden Bachelor date. They went to see KC and The Sunshine Band, where the two danced the night away. Moreover, Mel Owens seemed intrigued by Peg’s outgoing nature, so to see it fall apart because of her persona is shocking.

    Broken Romance

According to the show insider, The Golden Bachelor couple were supposed to have a secret rendezvous in October 2025. These often happen to keep the winner hidden from the public eye. Unfortunately, Mel Owens and Peg Munson got into a fight, and that caused them to cancel their long weekend away. As for what will happen when they reunite at the big finale, they are going to act like everything is just fine. No one will know that there are any problems, and maybe going public will remedy the situation. Until then, they will likely keep up the facade, but insiders know the truth.

Do you think Peg and Mel will last, or is it just a matter of time? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, and watch The Golden Bachelor finale Wednesday, November 12th, on ABC.
