However, there were a lot who let everyone know they did not agree with ICE or what President Donald Trump is doing. Billie Eilish reassured people that their voices matter and to speak up about what they believe in. However, some did not say a word, and this made fans question where they stand.
Jelly Roll Speaks Out About Politics, Stays Silent
Jelly Roll had the opportunity to speak at the Grammys. However, he did not say a word about politics. When he was asked about it in an interview, he revealed why he stayed silent and where he stands.
“So this is the truth, and I’m glad somebody asked, because I love talking about this stuff, and people care to hear my opinion, but so I can tell you that people shouldn’t care to hear my opinion. You know, I’m a dumb redneck, like, I haven’t watched enough. I didn’t have a phone for 18 months. I’m so disconnected from what’s happening,”
He admitted that he did not even realize politics were real until he was 20 years old. Jelly Roll did not want to give his opinion as he did not have enough knowledge to give one. This is something fans understood and would rather have him do this than give an uneducated opinion.
It seems as though Jelly Roll does not know much about politics. He admitted that he was very disconnected from it. So, he did not feel comfortable speaking out on the issues going on.
