For twelve years, Dr. Jill Biden was in the public eye due to her husband, former President Joe Biden. He served as President Barack Obama’s Vice President for two terms. Then, in 2020, after several days and a lot of counting, he took over the office of the president from Donald Trump. Jill became a beloved first lady, and she was by her husband’s side when he announced he would not run in 2024. The seventy-four-year-old has long been passionate about her family and teaching. However, many may not realize that she was married once before.
In 1970, she married Bill Stevenson. Unfortunately, the marriage did not work out, and they drifted apart. This led to the couple divorcing in 1975, shortly after she had met Joe Biden. It is unclear when, but Bill moved on as well. He met and married Linda Stevenson, who passed away on December 28th, 2025. Bill and Linda had a domestic dispute that day, to which authorities came to their home in Wilmington, Delaware. Upon their arrival, they found Linda unresponsive, but the sixty-four-year-old did not survive.

After a little over a month, it seemed enough evidence had been gathered to charge Bill with murder. As of now, the cause of Linda’s death has not been released. However, when her obituary came out, it did not list Bill as her husband despite them being married at the time. It did say:
“She is survived by her daughter, Christina (Jeremy); her granddaughter, Ciara (Madison and Logan); her sister Cathy (Tom) Lancaster, nephew Jason and extended relatives.”
Dr. Jill Biden has not spoken out regarding Bill Stevenson’s arrest, and he could not make his $500K bail. Therefore, he is behind bars for the time being.
