She left early to be with her daughter who was having some postpartum issues. They didn’t find love together but they did find a lasting friendship. Joan Vassos Reveals Talking With Gerry Turner About Cancer
Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos revealed that she has in fact spoken to Gerry Turner about his shocking cancer diagnosis. Joan spoke with US Weekly about Gerry and what she knows about his cancer.
When asked if she had spoken to him since he announced his diagnosis of bone marrow cancer, she revealed that she already knew about it. Joan said, “I knew about that already. I knew about that last year actually and I have spoken to him. He and I are friends. We text every once in a while. He’s all good.”
She went on to say that it was shocking to hear about it and that nobody wants to ever hear the C word but he’s doing well. Joan shared that the form of cancer Gerry has is slow-moving. He has Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia and there is reportedly no cure for it.
Joan went on to share more information about Gerry’s cancer. She said, “Sometimes they never even treat them for it. Like, it never becomes an issue. So he’s at the stage of this cancer that he’s not even being treated for it.”
Joan Has Some Advice For Grant Ellis
Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos says she has no idea how Bachelor Grant Ellis’ season will end. However, she did share that if he did choose a partner they need to be communicating with each other multiple times a day.
She also pointed out how tough it is to watch someone you care about be with other people. So, she said this needs to be thought of. Even with Chock, Joan noted that there were a few episodes which he didn’t love what he was seeing.
Currently, Joan and Chock are sharing their first private vacation together in Mexico. They have been sharing photos and videos of their amazing time.
