It’s worth betting that there is a certain percentage of Real Housewives of New York viewers that would be happy to get at least some of the veteran cast back. Sonja Morgan and Luann de Lesseps were part of the winning formula on RHONY for many seasons. Kelly Bensimon is another alum that may be entertaining to be on screen again.
Certainly, some of these ladies are clamoring to get back to work. Sonja has an onstage presence as a comedian, and is focused on other projects. However, Kelly has been more vocal about necessary casting changes. And during a recent red carpet appearance, the former Bravolebrity crashed Sonja’s interview to share her hopes of returning to RHONY.

Both RHONY alums were at The Amateur premiere. Entertainment Tonight first interviewed Sonja about her current work plans before pulling Kelly in for the chat. Both ladies agreed that they would love to return to the series.
“I don’t really know about all these other shows. I never even really watched my own shows. But I just know I miss the girls. I need to be with Luann, with Dorinda [Medley], I miss Ramona [Singer]. I wouldn’t even mind seeing Tinsley [Mortimer] to find out about her new family,” Sonja shared.
The reality TV star is always “pitching” new projects. Sonja is focusing more on comedy and calls her material “very funny.” She had two upcoming events for her improv show that she plugged at the interview.
Then, the interviewer invited Kelly into the conversation. Sonja recalled filming with her on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip and Scary Island.
“Real Housewives is in serious crisis,” Kelly opined. “I would love to [return]. We had so much fun.” Sonja added, “Like New York City, we’re never out of style. It’s not like we’re coming back. We’ve always been here and busy.”
Meanwhile, RHONY producers put out a casting call for Season 16. Nothing has been confirmed in terms of who from the previous season is returning.
